UT, like all schools, is competing in a finite marketplace for finite $. It's a war of sorts and UT has not been competing on a level playing field relative to fund raising and now hopefully that will change.

I think Dr. Gaber will do a fantastic job for UT. I am very pleased with Dr. Gaber's selection and I think she is the right person at the right time to run UT. She is forward thinking and has succeeded in her career at all levels. She will definitely take UT to a better place in terms of rankings, enrollment, and fund raising.

I think we are going to see a lot of movement and positive change in the first 12 months. The merger of the entities and the two positions he is going to take over will save a lot of money and create a lot of synergies. Goes along very well with a new alumni building for all entities in question.

Another man hired to do twice the work for half the pay.


I like the common message that the fund raising is for endowment and scholarship, not spending.
