The incredible amount of outrage and the subsequent hypocrisy of these "animal lovers" is demonstrative of the moral degeneration of this country. People are actually calling for the guy to be killed for killing a damn lion. These people are so brainwashed that they don't even see their own hypocrisy. These same idiots probably have no idea who Samuel Dubose is or that ISIS routinely beheads human beings for sport.

I imagine it has something to do with his "legal local guides" luring the lion out of the protected zone with a dead animal carcass strapped to the back of their vehicle. He claimed he thought everything was going down legally and in the right. Odd that he would think that, considering he had hunted this sort of game before.

That's why I said "if". From what I've read, he (he's blaming his guides) actually lured the lion out of the sanctuary and then killed the lion. Cutting off the tracking device should have been a clue as well. That in of itself is illegal as all get out. It's going to wind up being a "his word against his guides word" when it comes to who is actually at fault. I don't have an issue with big game hunting in general; however, when one deliberately lures an animal out of a protective area to kill it, that's just not right. This guy is catching hell because the animal he killed happened to apparently be a known and national treasure.

It does seem odd that this team didn't just put the lion down after then initial shot. Tracking it for 40 hours while it does a slow death doesn't square.

It does seem odd that this team didn't just put the lion down after then initial shot. Tracking it for 40 hours while it does a slow death doesn't square.

Tracking a wounded lion through brush is a bit dicey though. So it depends on the circumstances.
