Dan, in no order.

1) Rutgers 2006. This game established a continual Student Section.
Prior to this game there was none.

2) Whisky in 99'. They ended up Big and Rose Bowl champs

3) Pitt 2008. Although UC needed to beat Cuse the following week to
secure the Orange Bowl (which was a given, Cuse was not that good)

4) WVU 2009, went to 10-0, they next week 11-0 after beating Illinois.
On to the Sugar Bowl after beating @Pitt

5) Pitt 2012, first game of the year on Thursday night ESPN. We smoked
them.

Some like that S. Miss game back in the 90's, but nobody was at that game, well I was. Awful weather.

Bruce - Pretty sure the VT game was on the road and the score was 16-0.

Dang, right you are.

Cincinnati victory over Wisconsin is one for the program at Nippert. I was there it was great UW had the big RB
Also the victory over a ranked Rutgers team with Brent Celick taking it to the house.

RE: Greatest games at Nippert...Looking for feedback
I really have nothing to add to all of these fantastic suggestions of best games.

I'm curious about some of the historic footage. For someone who was involved in the program as a kid, yet did not attend UC, I'm always struck by how far the program has come, both in viability and in local and national perception. I feel that this is under appreciated by many people in Cincinnati (not this board, of course).

Quick back story. I was a ball boy for UC in 1984 and 1985 (junior high for me). One of our jobs as ball boys was to run up into the stands behind the goalposts during field goals and PATs. There was a group of 15 to 20 UC students - all buddies - who would conspire to grab the ball (there was no net behind the goal posts) after each kick. They always brushed our skinny little 13 year old selves aside as we diligently tried to fulfill our duty. They positioned themselves around the stadium, and basically played keep away from us. The game of keep away often continued until (name your opponent here) scored their next touchdown, and we did it all over again. It's a fun, and funny, memory, and shows how different of a program UC is today. I hope that comes through in the broadcast.

Thank you for doing the 30 minute special. I hope I'm able to stream it and check it out.

Greg Cook led an amazing comeback and Danny OBrian kicked a 47 yard field goal as time expired to win the game.

I know this predates most of you. It has been challenged for excitement and "wonderfulness", but never surpassed.

Jim O'Brien, not Danny OBrian. I was at that game as well. Beating a very good Miami team after being behind like 21-7 with about 5 minutes to go in the game was awesome. And Tom Rossley was huge in that game as well. He later was the SMU head coach.

All three below are modern classics.

2008 versus Pitt.
2002 versus TCU
2000 versus Syracuse

I have 2000 Syracuse in my top ten, but it was the 2nd best game at Nippert that season.

I have two games in mind. The UCONN where ZACH was unstoppable and the USF game on Halloween night was an unbelievable atmosphere that hooked me as a UC fan.

I agree on the Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Syracuse games.

My personal favorite was being at the Pitt game in 08 and storming the field.

I think I would also love to see some highlight footage from UC destroying UK in 96. We also absolutely demolished Austin Peay in 2011 72-10, and demolished Oregon State one year, when they had a good team.

Clifton usually mentions this game. Cincy v. Memphis on Oct 30 1993 started out as a pleasant 65 degree day. I watched us kick a 45 yard field goal in my boat shoes no socks as time expired to win 22 to 20 with four inches of snow on the ground. This game along with the Miami triple overtime are my favorite games I saw in person.

Was at that game...my first year at UC. It was a WET cold snow. But we won!!! Was so fun. Not a lot of people there and they said Liberty Bowl people were at the game...too bad.

RE: Greatest games at Nippert...Looking for feedback
WORST game at Nippert for me:

Loss in 1995 to #14? Kansas State....in literally the final seconds. I think we jumped out to a 21-0 lead too...or something like that. Took the lead back late on a bomb to Tate who caught it in double overage to get us to the five yard line. Scored the go ahead td with less than a minute left. I thought we had it. Kstate got the ball to midfield and on the final play of the game threw a 50 yard td as time expired (or something close to that). I was stunned and mad.

Ahh we're of the same era...it was my freshman year, and my first ever game in Nippert. It started a string of about 50 or so consecutive home games I made it to, with many away games in that mix. That game holds a special place for me, though otherwise I'm not sure it's terribly memorable.

UC vs Miami 1968 23-21.

Ohio U. game previously mentioned was not completed due to a fight and we also lost the game. Would not be on my list.
