Just introduced. Apparently Thomas Massie just signed on as a co-sponsor as well.

Finally proud of an NC politician in Washington. This is probably the first time since Jesse Helms.

This actually could put the democrats in a weird situation. They would either have to vote for Boehner, or risk a more conservative speaker being voted in.

I don't know. If they do put in a "more conservative" speaker, it could just make it easier for Democrats in 2016 because you know damn well if it were to happen the person would look like an obstructionist idiot. I am not just talking about for president in 2016 either.

Our country is going to hell in a hand basket and all the Republicans can do is this?

Isn't that the "logic" the cons used to use for Obama filling out an NCAA bracket, etc.?

If they put in somebody farther to the right, then absolutely nothing gets accomplished. And we're still paying them good money to stand there and point fingers at each other.

Oh, good. You're comparing a movement to replace an unpopular speaker of the house who disenfranchises half of the party with a president who earns brownie points by going on ESPN and posting his (shittie) bracket predictions.

Instead of paying them for it, we'll put them all on welfare then. They can tell us how great it is.

Passing laws and spending money was never supposed to be easy. That isn't how the constitution was set up.

It won't happen at all if you get people that are not willing to compromise on some things.

Compromise works both ways. Giving Obama whatever he wants in exchange for rejecting the DC marijuana law ain't compromise, that is what you call "cuckold".

Yep...you pegged it! Your powers of discernment are stunning.
