Well deserved congratulations, but while I'm not intending to sound like sour grapes, didn't you guys already post a thread on all your accolades from your first year in C-USA? The video wasn't part of that package, but this is basically a rerun.

RE: Very Good Year for WKU in CUSA
How many CUSA championships did WKentucky win in the sports people actually care about?

Men's Basketball Regular Season - none
Men's Basketball Tournament - none
Football - none
Baseball - none

So, let's try to keep all these self back-patting posts over on hillbillyhaven where someone might be impressed.

This coming from the school that draws more fans for women's basketball than anything and used to obsess over the Bubas Cup.

Three points:
1. Apparently someone cares about all of these sports are schools wouldn't field teams
2. It is interesting that an MTSU fan says that no one cares about Women's basketball when many MTSU fans consistently regale with stories about the prowess of MTSU women's basketball team.
3. The same number as MTSU

Disregard MT FAN, both our programs are well rounded evidenced by both of our successes in the Bubas Cup. Last year was the first time someone other than MT or WKU won it in nearly two decades.

Having said all that, yes, this is at least the third such thread.

We draw more for women's basketball than anything? Really? Our women outdrew our men last year by about 100 fans a game, your men only drew another 400 or so on top of that.

As long as we're going down this road, we outdrew you in football last year and definitely will again this year with Vandy and the Herd on the home schedule.

I agree as our home schedule has teams like MTSU. jk.
I think the WKU poster meant to say that MTSU women's basketball drew more than any other school's women's team, which I believe is the case.
And don't remind me of our poor home football attendance. It boggles the mind. Of course "KY is a basketball state" is the common mantra. As someone who lived in South Florida for 50 years where football is 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the lack of support for football is very upsetting to me.
I enjoy your level headed posts.

Congratulations. Be proud. Ignore fans who lost to you and then say the sport is not important.

You don't see or fans posting multiple "look at me posts" about our success in the sports very little people cars about. I would much rather win one of the championships that I listed than win all of the others combined.

If people care so much about those sports, than why are there very few threads discussing them?

good god almighty.

you must have never been on the sun belt board. the bubas cup was crowed about loudly and often FROM MTSU FANS. and all the gump fans and bobby bouchet fans raped them with your argument.

so either you were never on that board or you don't pay attention.

the sports i care about are:

basketball, football, and baseball.

i don't really count womens basketball as a sport. it's worse than watching a bad junior high boys team. except it's slower. and there's always at least one 6' kid in the eighth grade that might be learning how to dunk on the boys middle school.

i don't really count womens softball because my coach pitch pee wee teams play our championship on western's womens field. if a 7-8 year old is playing on the field it's not really a college game.

we did pretty well in basketball.
we did pretty well in football.
we did poorly in baseball and fired the coach.

that's a pretty good first year in a new conference for me.

i'm happy for all those other championships because those kids wear western on their jerseys. but i'm not gonna spend time watching them. (maybe the volleyballers but that's a different issue)

No no no, that's not possible. Only Marshall fans post endlessly about how great we are, according to WKU fans.
