Oklahoma Wants Out of Big 12- Frank the Tank source
Apparently, Texas does have an interest in the ACC, if the B12 goes away, because of ND.

Ah yes – Texas. The Longhorns aren’t oblivious to their rivals to the north. In a perfect world for Texas (as described to me by my Big 12 guy), they would want to join the ACC as full members with… wait for it… Notre Dame. Apparently, the UT people are convinced that the new College Football Playoff system will eventually drive the Irish to join a conference and Texas wants to be right alongside them. In turn, UT would also have Oklahoma and Kansas follow along to create an 18-school ACC behemoth. Texas would be fine with the same type of move to the Big Ten (although Notre Dame is contractually obligated to join the ACC if it chooses to drop independence until 2027, which would seemingly make that prospect impossible). The new Texas leadership doesn’t have the West Coast preference that their leaders circa 2010 had, so any new deal with the Pac-12 seems to be out. At the same time, the SEC continues to be simply a non-starter for the Longhorns.

Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas with ND all in would be a game changer for the ACC.

I posted on Oklahoma's land shark website a few weeks ago and they are anti-ACC.

that is another program in decline that we can eliminate as a threat if conferences block them from joining. the reason Okla wants to leave and join SEC is they know Baylor and TCU rise is hurting their recruiting and losing to those private schools reinforces in people's mind that Okla is in decline.

we can eliminate Texas and Oklama as consistent contenders for playoff berth, which would help ACC teams get into playoffs, by shutting them out of another conference. hold the line

Well, we "shut out" Penn State... how'd that work out?

While it would take a lot for this scenario to happen, say it does. How would divisions work? Two 9 team divisions or Pods?

Florida State
Clemson
Louisville
NC State
Syracuse
Wake Forest
Boston College
Notre Dame
Kansas

Miami
Georgia Tech
Virginia Tech
Virginia
Duke
UNC
Pittsburgh
Texas
Oklahoma

what is penn state doing these days.

when did penn state want to join the league? I don't remember them being mentioned in the past 10 years.

I think ACC has good shot at luring Penn state over to ACC at some point with the the other northeastern schools coming over.

I support taking UCONN. ACC will be only program that has most major programs on east coast in north and south.

It's not really a sacrifice if you WANT to do it.

Sorry, dude, but I'm just not into paganism or murder.

However, I would like to see Texas, OU and Kansas join the ACC.

How about 3 divisions of 6

Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Miami, Louisville, WF

ND, VT, Pittsburgh, BC, Syracuse, NC State

FSU, Clemson, GT, NC, Duke, Virginia

Play 5 division games plus 1 set rival & 1 from each division for 8 games.

Set rivals could be;
Texas-ND
Virginia-VT
NC-NC State
Duke-WF
Clemson-Oklahoma
FSU-Miami
UL-Pittsburgh
Kansas-Syracuse
GT-BC

Agreed, they are not ahead of the Cards all time, no way.

Also, they give Donovan credit for three titles at Florida? I thought it was two-- which is great work, but it still ain't 3...

I would probably put UL ahead of MSU and UF in hoops as well, but don't make it sound like it's a no-contest comparison. The Cards are close behind UNC and Duke reputation-wise (IMO), but not yet up there with Kentucky, or historically, with UCLA and Indiana.

Still, y'all are way better than VT at basketball, and a definite improvement over Maryland as well.

Would love to see these adds.....but not in a situation where FSU is carrying the weight of 6-7 dead weight teams while Texas and ND eat what they kill and are free and clear of the dead weight.

Texas to the Coastal division, Kansas to the Atlantic!

LOL. Too easy.

Why would FSU and Clemson be happy to lock in five games each year against NC State, Wake Forest, BC, Syracuse and Kansas, just to add Notre Dame twice every three years?
