Rank the AAC Stadiums
Wanted to see how everyone would rank the AAC's stadiums.
Some ideas to think about to use as criteria can be: design, atmosphere, amenities, capacity (attendance), tailgating, tradition, noise level, student sections, etc.

I think ECU has got a few of these won. But definitely not design and amenities. No idea on capacity and student sections compared to the rest of the league.
Our strength: Atmosphere, tailgating, tradition and sometimes noise level.

I'd put Tulsa last. We have a decent gameday atmosphere... but crowds can be sparse for lackluster games, the student section doesn't know what the hell they're doing, and there's no alcohol.

design: SMU
atmosphere: ECU
amenities: not sure
capacity: Memphis (not sure this matters), should be attendance
tailgating: ECU
tradition: ECU since half the league has new stadiums
noise level: ECU (UCF when they bang on the aluminum)
student sections: ECU by far

Temple's atmosphere is definitely lacking due to the fact that we play in a huge NFL stadium and have some attendance problems. The tailgate scene is good however, and our concessions are good inside the stadium. The student section can be either really impressive or really lacking depending on the opponent, weather, and other factors. Capacity wise we have everyone beat

What about "bouncy" as a criteria? Or "Camera Shaking"?

I tried to think of categories that would be up for debate. Clearly UCF runs away with those ones.

Talking about Brighthouse, if I remember back to when you guys were developing it, there was talk about it being built similar to the Stanford stadium. Am I remembering that correctly?

ECU bc I'm a homer and bc of the atmosphere and attendance.
USC bc it has a pirate ship and I'm a homer.
UC unique and good atmosphere
Houston - never been but its sure sparkles.
Navy
UCF
Memphis - Haven't been since 08 and 09 but unique design
Tulane - never been but audubon park is nice and maybe they serve beignets and chickory at the stadium?
UCONN - just bc, never been.
SMU, Tulsa, Temple bc no one should be alone at the and I have no idea.

ITT: ECU fans who have never been to other stadiums.
Personally, I think Navy's stadium blows everyone else's away.
In terms of atmosphere, i'd definitely place Cinci and UCF at a battle for 1 and 2.

I rank ECU #1... and I've been to:
Navy, UCF, Memphis, Houston (old stadium), Temple, & USF.
UCF, to me, was a bunch of disinterested fans who were more into the social scene aspect of the game than the actual game itself. Young fanbase that needs more experience. It was a manufactured environment, to me.

We regularly compare it to Doak Campbell stadium, at least in terms of final intent.

Of course ECU dominates all categories.

its all subjective and opinion, we all value different things..and 100%of people here will add homerism
design, size, value, deducting for ownership, in game atmosphere, comfort-ability, unique features, modern amenities etc

Well we were playing ECU after all, can't expect fans to be too interested.

This thread was doomed from the start to become a dick size competition between ECU and UCF

This is probably a template of sorts for what UCF wants to accomplish long term. We have already started construction on the first building around the stadium. I wish we had more money to throw into the initial construction but we gotta work with what we have. Considering the circumstances I wouldn't trade it for our other alternative of the citrus bowl. Get the stadium, then make the upgrades, just like fsu did. But, correct me if I'm wrong, fsu had state funding to build theirs.

Things get heated when fans talk about their own stadiums.
