More good news for Temple's offense
Earlier this month it was discovered that leading receiver from 2013 Robby Anderson would be returning to Temple which would add much needed help to our weak receiving.

This morning, it was confirmed that Adonis Jennings was granted eligibility to play this season. Jennings was a 2014 4* WR that transferred to Temple from Pitt. These two additions could dramatically improve Temple's offense this year, with our starting running back Zaire Williams also returning from injury, as well as 4* freshman running back Simmons being added to the mix.

RE: More good news for Temple's offense
Big news, and if Robby is eligible, our offense will go from a major weakness to a strength. This is probably the most talent we've ever had on offense.

QB PJ

RB Zaire, Jahad, Gilmore, Simmons, Armstead, Gardner

WR Robby, Jennings, Kirkwood, Christopher, Eaton, Deloatch, Ventell, Yancy, Shippen, Simpson, Patrick Anderson, Randall

TE Thompson, Patton, Boozer

We might end up having to redshirt quite a few players.

Plenty of firepower. Just need the O Line to hold up

It makes me mad that Temple (and other schools) are getting these eligibility waivers when Tulsa has a linebacker transfer in from Auburn, at the suggestion of Malzhan, because his father in Oklahoma has cancer and we can't get the guy eligible.

That is frustrating. I believe Jennings cited an issue about needing to be closer to home as well

Especially with Lofton as a weak link. They really like Carter, Leon Johnson will take the next step, and I have high expectations for McHale and Ruff. Hopefully the Dawkins stuff is sorted out and he's good to go.

How's your guys O-Line looking? I honestly have no idea, but I know P.J. causes all sorts of headaches, and can see him putting up yards if he's got talented targets and time to throw it.

We have one weak link the coaches insist on starting. Everyone else is good. A lot of young talent as depth, but not a ton of experience. James McHale and 4* Aaron Ruff redshirted their freshman year. They are likely the future of the OL. If Dion Dawkins' legal issues are over, it should be a pretty decent unit this year.

This could be Temple's year. All the pieces are In place. I could see Temple winning the East. The East will be a beast this year.

The WR position at Temple goes from weak to strong just like that!

Why is that funny? Our D is better than yours and you have to replace the golden boy QB plus Justin Hardy. Benkert may end up being very good, but 10 passes isn't anything in terms of experience.

Pitt (my dad's alma mater) is the second team I pull for behind my Cougars. Our bowl game was awkward, as you can imagine.

But the Jennings kid is full of drama. "Anxiety" issues. "Family" issues. Repeated groin injuries. There are major questions about his commitment to football. And he caught six balls last year for a receiving corp that was desperate for any sort of depth behind Tyler Boyd. I wouldn't expect the next Jerry Rice to come waltzing through the door.

Yep, we'll probably just take our 4th place and not even play this year. Since the media says so.

See you in October.

If there's one thing I know, it's to never count out a kid from Timber Creek. Jennings was hurt and Pitt wasted his redshirt when he wasn't fully healthy. He wasn't happy at Pitt. I dont think it's your place to question that at all. In fact, I think it's pretty ****** of you to question a kid who was a freshman in college, away from home for the first time. It doesn't always work out for everyone, myself included.
