RE: More Fridays for ACC?
We went through this in Pennsylvania about 10 years ago with the Big East when it occupied the lowest slot on the BCS totem pole – just as the ACC does now.

Everyone says this exact same thing at first. The sanctity of the high school game and how this upsets them and all that. It's all nonsense. They'll get over it.

Then, the coaches come to realize it doesn't make a bit of difference and they all calm down. Trust me, this will not impact your recruiting over the long haul. If anything, it will help it w/r/t out of state prospects. I have no doubt about that because we have been there and done that.

RE: More Fridays for ACC?
BTW, I agree with high school coaches on this one. High school football should have Friday nights to itself. The NFL should control Sundays and Mondays and college football should have Thursdays and Saturdays. There should be no football played on Tuesdays or Wednesdays as that just feels weird.

That is how it has been for years and it has worked well for everyone. Greed killed the golden goose. However, there are a lot of programs that need greater exposure and there are only so many available hours.

The NFL has now taken Thursday nights away from college football. That leaves Friday nights as the leagues' only real alternative. I don't like it either what real choice do they have? Honestly, with the ratings the NFL games are drawing on Thursday nights, I'd rather be on Friday nights than Thursday nights as those games probably draw better numbers or will within the next few years.

I have to disagree. I can handle a BIG Thursday night game every now and then. Friday night games just seem lost to me. I love Saturday afternoon/night football.

The only real drawback on Friday night Louisville games if at say 7 pm is the Traffic. Rush Hour Traffic on I-65 and I-264 and Tailgating at Papa Johns is off the Charts. Way to much rushing around right after work. Saturday much more relaxed and can arrive early for tailgating before hand.

So we should follow the example set by the only BCS conference that no longer exists?

One of Clemson's recruiting advantages is our game day experience. Recruits are impressed with 80k+ screaming fans and the pomp and ceremony. I understand that a fan of a school without that wouldn't think it's important because hey......you can show a recruit a bunch of empty yellow seats anytime after all.
