If not, consider taking them trick or treating on Tiger Lane. Drunks usually tend to be generous.

No kidding. We were out of candy in about 15 minutes.

I think if you schedule the game at night, the Halloween experience for the kids will be amazing, but you will lose a lot of fans that want to be out going door to door at night.

I think if you schedule the game during the day, the program and the fans on Tiger Lane will make it phenomenal for the kids, and they will still be able to go out at night if they want. I think a day game makes it a draw for the kids, and a night game will be a drain on attendance.

My kids hope that you take your kids trick or treating somewhere else - more candy for them.

Seriously though, my 6 yr old said that it was "the best Halloween ever". Almost all the tents had candy and the tents are right next to each other - no running from house to house or riding through the subdivision and then running up to houses. If I told my kids we had to skip trick or treating on Tiger Lane for regular trick or treating there would be a revolt in our house.

You don't know what you are missing.

we loved it last year!

Now I'm just worried b/c a friend is getting married that day, so I really hope it doesn't interfere with the game and passing out candy.

I'm good with that. Just have to convince the wife. That'll be a hard sell.

RE: Halloweeen Game time
I heard nothing but positive feedback from those families that went last year including the ones that used our tickets and Tiger Lane spot. Our family missed last year not because it was Halloween night, but because of the conflict with High School football. I'm just glad we don't have any home games on Friday night this year.

Go Tigers!

I agree. I was there last year with my wife, our daughter who was 14 months old at the time, and our friends and their daughter. We had a great time despite the cold. However, like you said, I think the game will draw more people if it's a morning or early afternoon kickoff. Will give casual fans a chance to get back home and take their kids around the neighborhood. Or younger fans can still make it to Halloween parties in the evening.

Either way, I suspect it will be a good time this year.

Why does the game have to revolve around that other stuff?

The other stuff should revolve around THE GAME!

Trick or Treat on SAFE AND SECURE Tiger Lane.

The PARTY is inside the LB.

Halloween Night Game NOW!

Just being realistic. The Memphis football program needs the casual fan to get a big crowd (say 40K plus). There aren't 40K fans who will prioritize a Memphis game above all other activities. So, it will likely help to try and schedule according to the day's events.

I agree with both of you. The challenge comes from having kids that want to trick or treat with their friends, either having to convince the other kids (and their parents) to come to the game; or they come to the game and miss out trick or treating with their friends.

Hopefully, regardless of game time, the kids that had such a great time last year, will be able to convince other kids to come with them.

Sounds like to me there are some "casual fans" here worried more about trick or treating than the game.

There are some who probably fall into my boat as well. I would love to come to the game. However, there is 0% chance my wife is driving across Arkansas for a football game and not showing off our 18 month old baby in her costume to family and friends... If we lived in Memphis I would probably be able to work out a time frame compromise, but noway with a 5 hour drive to make that work.

hell yea I am. Halloween is crazy in my neighborhood down here. I hope the game is either in the early afternoon or 9 or so eastern time after the kids are exhausted. Simply so I can watch it. If not, I'll have my phone giving me updates while drinking around the hood.
