Wow, if we can get Tyrie Cleveland, and hold on to Jordan Elliot (both seem like huge challenges), We should solidify this class as the top G5 and maybe top 30.

I feel our 5 star is solid Houston, but Jordan Elliot is flirting a lot with UT.

Tyrie Cleveland doesn't look great as Dillon Sterling-Cole committed to ASU today... but it's not impossible.

Reguardless we get most improved out of all 128 programs for sure.

TCU's Feb. 2011 class was ranked 25th. They just won the Rose Bowl, and accepted a bid to the Big East in Oct. 2010. Big East was still BCS at the time. Those kids played one year in the MWC.

That's about as high as any mid major class has ever been rated.

And oh Boykin, what a class it was. They were 4th year seniors on last year's Top 3 team.

I don't think TCU's class should count since they had accepted an invitation to a BCS conference some four months before (and the coaches may have known about it before then) Signing Day. If UH were to get a Big 12 or ACC invite in the middle of this coming season, our chances of signing guys like Tyrie Cleveland, Isaiah Chambers, Dontavious Jackson, etc. would definitely increase.

VCoog, we could fill out the class with unheralded two stars, and we'd still have the top G5 class. If that happened, we'd end up with about 1600 points. That would have been good for about #30 in the '15 rankings. The only G5s close to us re SMU and Western Michigan. SMU has five more commitments and is still 200 points behind us. Western Michigan has 18 commits and is some 500 points lower.

congrats...hope you get all those kids on an LOI and they get to campus!

UC is going strong at #53 (per 247)....we have 13 commits with 11 of them being 3star. It's solid.

i dont think we get tyrie...and keeping elliot is unlikely

but there are 3 other 4 stars considering us that could still get us to 30

SMU is the only other G5 currently in the top 50 at number 47.

Nice job, hopefully the rest of the conference can step up as well. Herman seems like an excellent recruiter.

Dam Houston and SMU's new staffs are crushing it, this is what happens when you step up and make the investments necessary. WTG.

Tulane at a respectable 65 BTW, not bad. Maybe we have turned the corner a bit.

You might be right, but plenty of time for other guys to make noise. Haha life as a cougar is to not get cocky.
