I watched some video and I didn't see any PG skills. Quite a shooter with range. All catch and shoot. Plays with the a PG who was just selected by one hoops guru as the #1 stock riser in Illinois for the summer. Another 5'11 kid. Dropped 31 in Vegas. So WMU's interest is 2nd fiddle at best comparatively.
What little I read on the PF left me with the impression he is AJ like. Nothing spectacular, more blue collar than white and more on the defensive end than on O. Per verbal omits of his 8 offers 5-6 were from last year and most slots filled or as with Loyola who offers and if you don't commit in 5 minutes they offer someone else.
Most kids with higher levels of interest pretty much have their fav 5 or so unless some P5 ideal school comes along. Visits are being scheduled and many a mid major program will take the first kid to raise their hand. They don't feel they can afford to risk getting no one waiting for their #1. Knew of a sit last year where a MVC program offered and wanted to schedule a visit before Labor Day. The kid was just trying to align his personal schedule to accommodate school etc and asked if he could come in the week later. This school was his #1 choice. The school thought his "delay" was a signal he wasn't going to commit. They moved a kid up who was clearly their #2 choice. He visited and pledged 2 min into the visit. Said kid would up at another mid major program which in retrospect is a great fit. NCAA the last 3 years, a great academic fit and in a warmer clime. He didn't realize it at the time but he is over the moon now and reports are he loves class, the workouts and is fitting in nicely. All ends well ....
