What he's doing right is that he's speaking for the people. Politicians speak for their parties, screwed up as they are, but after hearing Trump he sounds like some of the posts that I read here. Perhaps that's good, perhaps that's bad. There's a little of what he says that I don't agree with but all in all I'm fed up with career politicians too.

One thing that I laugh at is that he says that we will build the fence to keep illegals out and that Mexico will pay for it. I'm waiting to see how that will turn out. That one, I don't believe. The others are attainable.

What he said as far as negotiating with the Iranians makes a lot of sense. Obama gave them everything, we got NOTHING.

Mexico will pay for it when there are less illegals here sending cash back into their economy.

He's running the careers of many up and coming republicans. This will set them back 10 years at least.

I wonder if republicans don't need to consider giving up the primary system. It's killing them. The appeal to the hard right that every candidate has to make to get through it is killing them in the general elections. Now something like this. Trump will get drilled by the media. Sometimes you can overcome that if you are a populist "candidate of the people." It's expected that they will get killed in the media and they can actually turn it into a "they're out to get me" appeal. But Donald Trump is never going to convince anybody that he is Everyman.

I just hope the democrats nominate Hillary, because she does not scare me nearly as badly as any of the others on that side.

I'm still saying trump is all part of the master plan....it's a politico phishing expedition...

Great idea. Let's ditch the primary and let the Washington Cartel pick the candidates directly. They are already insulting the voters on a daily basis so we might as well take that final step of becoming the Soviet Union and take it out of the hands of the people.

I don't know what the answer is. I do know that this isn't working.

They need a stestepstepped primary system with a hard deadline for enteringnthe race. First primary 3 months after deadline, x number of candidates eliminated. Then debates and another primary, x number eliminated again. Get it down to 4-5 candidates at least 12 months out snd that will cut down on them trashing one another

Republicans have found the next Reagan. If he gets elected, 25 years from now he'll be worshipped as a god.
