We are hearing a home and home has been agreed upon between both programs for 2018 and 2019. Any SMU fans hearing anything? It's suppose to officially be announced tomorrow.

Not terrible. I like the idea of playing in state schools. As long as it doesn't replace games against TCU and other higher profile foes.

20 minute drive for me and 3.5 hours from Dallas. They have quite a few alumni in Dallas so they will bring a good contingent.

What is Texas State? Is that the old West Texas State University? Or something else? I don't recall ever hearing of a Texas State until 5-6 years ago.

Big school in San Marcos 30 miles south of Austin. Formerly known as Southwest Texas State

Large state school with over 36K students located in between Austin and San Antonio. Formerly known as Southwest Texas State. They also have a really nice 30K football stadium that was recently renovated a couple years ago.

I'm excited for this one. Nothing beats a home and home with an instate team. I look forward to going to the game at SMU and check out the much talked about tailgating scene.

I wish I could remember the SMU poster's name that dated a girl from Texas State until he saw pictures of her doing the entire offensive line of the TS football team

if you are dating a Tx State girl and you dont just assume that is what is happening - you don't get out much.

The name change was in 2003 but we just moved up starting in 2010. 2013 was our first full FBS year.

Good series for SMU, great series for TX St.
