Jake Hlava is listed as a DE, so he's likely going to project at the "Huskie" position where Ford and Fleming currently play.

Also interested to see where the true FR LBs line up. Assuming Rock is done, the only 4 back from last year are Folliard, Boomer, Bobby Cool, and Payton. There will be chances for the true freshmen there to get playing time.

I think it will be tough for a true freshman to get time at LB. The coaches were high on Richard Cheran last year, and Cody Sullivan got some playing time I believe.

Would like to see freshman LB's redshirt, especially at MLB. Corcoran seems a little small at 217 and Pugh looks quick enough to be outside. Even without Rock really like the LB's. Having said that, if any freshmen are better than what we have ...put'em in coach.

Actually this whole youth thing works out with 13 seniors. In the event that our staff leaves for bigger things (not necessarily better) we will loose very few recruits next year due to poaching or other goings on.

Looks like Rock is still on the team, but suspended indefinitely.

Lemon needs to be out there for this defense to hold up over the long haul. Very important component. Hopefully the whole incident was not too serious. Winston missed what ..1 game due to rape

I am very excited about this. Based on his highlight tape, I'm hopeful he can turn into a beast at this position.

Exactly we don't have one idea what happened in that situation, who are we to judge this already. I just meant I hope its not a case where this is drug out for like a year for getting into an argument with an ex girlfriend. It was shameful that Winston only got a 1 game suspension for rape.

He certainly does not deserve to not play football again because of that happening? That is ridiculous. If you hold this standard, no P5 team could field a football team. He did not punch his girlfriend. We have no idea what happened or what the circumstances were, so lets get off our high horse

I read that before I posted my reply to 7. There are all kinds of scenarios that could have led up to that, some where Lemon wasn't that much at fault. We are probably never going to get all the info, but I would think there is a reason why Lemon wasn't kicked off the team immediately.

Let the coach, AD and Turner do their jobs here. The world is not in black and white.

What Carey said today is kind of similar to what he said in 2013 when Rock was suspended the first time. Didn't offer any specifics, but made it clear that he was suspended indefinitely. Perhaps that means he'll be allowed to finish his degree, be "on the team", but he won't see the field at all.

This will be something for the guys covering practice to keep an eye on (Severson and whoever is taking over for Gogola on the NS beat).

I might be "mis-remembering" but when Lemon was suspended in 2013 I wanna say they let him help be part of the "scout" team.
