Peach Bowl will be the Access Bowl for the best G5 champ

Bill Hancock of CFP says Group of Five team most likely would go to Peach Bowl (if not semifinal) this year. Want to avoid repeat in Fiesta

Thought I'd put a thread here since this involves the AAC and the MW. Seems like they are already set on where the G5 champ will go. You know they don't want a major bowl to have to host us "small-time" conferences twice.

RE: Peach Bowl will be the Access Bowl for the best G5 champ
The G5 Access Bowls are on a rotation because the semifinals rotate:

2014 Cotton, Peach or Fiesta
2015 Peach or Fiesta only (Cotton is a semifinal)
2016 Cotton only (Peach and Fiesta are semifinals)

And yes, they will spread the G5 games around. Essentially, this is the G5 access schedule:

2014 Fiesta or Peach
2015 Peach or Fiesta (whichever one did not host G5 the year before)
2016 Cotton

Rinse and repeat 3 more times.

Well Boise State took Arizona to the wood shed. Also thought Boise State brought a good crowd and made the bowl game look good on tv.

Funny how teams from the MWC/AAC/oldBE seem to somehow 'win' these games they should not be in... how embarrassing indeed.

True, we're kinda of an eastern conference, so it'll be much easier for my Tigers...uhh, I mean our champion.

When did the Peach Bowl become one of the Major Bowls? When Boise won the Fiesta?
Heck, only Hawaii lost a BCS bowl to a BCS team...otherwise the non-AQs won all the rest.
So now we get a lesser bowl. I guess it is expected. Soon we will have a Christmas Day bowl game like the Yobagoya Bowl, played in Jackson, MS.

Good, good. Perfect time for us to run the table and take a short trip to ATL.

............

Edit: UHRedcat96, Peach and Cotton were elevated under the new CFP format. So the big bowls are now: Rose, Fiesta, Cotton, Sugar, Peach, Orange.

ECU's return the Peach Bowl, the Bowl that put us #9 in the country after it was all over would be a pretty epic finish at the end if it panned out.

yeah, this only be an issue if the G5 pulled a Northern Illinois, but Boise beat a good top 10 Arizona team...cheers! PS: ECU would represent the Peach well this season!

The "busters" are 3-0 in the Fiesta Bowl (Boise St 2x, Utah 1x). Boise St also won a game against TCU in the Fiesta when they both played as G5 schools. UCF of course had no respect, but we technically got the spot due to an auto-bid (would have received the bid regardless by the old rules). Losing our home field advantage!

Peach and Cotton got elevated to major bowl status when the BCS ended, and the CFP started, to assure enough spots for the semifinal playoff teams, plus the next best conference rep from each P5 + the best G5, and several at large teams (so SEC could have at least 2 or 3, lol).

Also, the CFP needed 2 extra bowls to make the semifinal rotation work.
