I do not see us losing at CMU. I think the team has a bitter taste in their mouths from last year's embarrassment. This should be a comfortable victory.

I agree, and i honestly only think our only loss comes to tOSU and maybe Toledo but i have faith in the boys. Now if we only lose to tOSU and it's not a complete blowout and we win the MAC... is that access bowl worthy?

I know everyone thinks CMU is our kryptonite, but the Huskies should have no problem with the Chips this year. They will probably the worst team in the MAC West.

10-2 or bust
Automatic loss to OSU and a loss to either BC or Toledo. I also do not believe we will lose to CMU this year.

If NIU lost by less than 21 vs Ohio State and ran the table otherwise, that would be a great shot I think. Its just hard to find a non power team that is all that overwhelming this year. Boise is good but in my opinion wont be as good as last year. Toledo and WKU are teams I think have the next best shot.

I think they are better than Ball State and EMU. CMU at least has playmakers on offense.

It does seem like Mt Pleasant is our MAC house of horrors though, only Lynch can break the curse.

Ball State will be better than CMU.

How will this board react to four, count them four, loses?
Let me be the first to officially call for the firing of Kill/Doreen/Tuke/Carey, followed quickly by the forced resignation of O'Dell/Groth/Compher/Frazier. Also, an immediate QB change.

I do not see how an 8-4 Huskie team finishes #29.

These are pre-season RPI rankings and I think the answer lies in that the toughest games NIU plays are on the road. I remember back in the day when a 9-3 MAC team would receive top 25 notes, before the pollsters decided to include only power conference teams.

This'll happen during the OSU game and I have the feeling I know the posters that will be responsible for it. Or, if NIU struggles against either UNLV or Murray State, it'll happen before then.

Buffalo will continue to improve and will be difficult to beat. They may win the conference.

They'll be competitive, but I don't think they'll have enough to win the East just yet, especially with a first year head coach. BGSU is the favorite in the East, even though I think they're the 4th best team in the conference at most.
The sleeper team in my mind is Miami. They played us tough at home last year and Chuck Martin seems like a good coach. Could end up surprising.

I don't see a CMU loss. Enos and his band of degenerates have moved on. John Bonamego is a first year head coach, and while he has a long history of coaching, his most prestigious position has been a number of stints as Special Teams coordinators at various NFL teams.
I see CMU losing big on this hiring move.

Yeah I predicted EMU to finish ahead of CMU this year because I think their new coach is a boob lol

I won't even read a season prediction....unless it predicts NIU as undefeated or winless.

My sleeper teams are Ball State in west and Buffalo in east.
