no....of course it's possible....
but me thinks that's not what kenya pres was sayin'
look at it this way...if the roles were reversed, wouldn't you be proud of your president?
they aren't in the ballpark of worrying about shite like that....doesn't mean it's not important to the improving the collective....he just knows it would be picking up pennies when there are benjamins to be had....
But, that's sort of my point, they aren't in the ballpark of worrying about passing anti-gay legislation and enforcing those laws. Gay rights isn't an issue like infrastructure or HIV treatment, which requires government funds, supplies, talent, etc to institute. In reality, it's literally an issue which is taking government resources away from those aforementioned real problems in order to actively enforce legislation against the boogeyman of homosexuality.
We aren't chastening them for the fact homosexuals are 5% less likely to go to college, he was chastising them for the fact that this 3rd world country is spending it's scant resources focusing on a non-issue.
why spend anything if you don't have much.....you are thinking percentages....it's the number of dollars that matter....
you will grow older one day and understand.....
Stink, you're not understanding my point. Currently they ARE spending to enforce anti-gay legislation and to incarcerate those who take part in homosexual acts. This costs money, removing that legislation is free. It costs no money to have no legislation on the matter.

I fail to see how our wealth has anything to do with this issue at all, and you don't seem to be interested in actually explaining it. Your argument that they're poor literally only bolsters my argument.

you're arguing they are poor, therefore anti-gay is wrong but they should listen to the US b/c we are richer and modernized
I'm arguing b/c they are poor, they don't care and don't know how to
the end result you argue is they are poor and should believe the rich
hence, liberal irony
or did that one fly over your head too?

RE: Obama clashes with Kenyan president over gay rights
If they're getting aid from us, it's not out of place to ask about it, especially if they're spending money on anti-gay enforcement.

It depends on what we get out of giving them aid.

I have never once argued that they are 'poor and should believe the rich'. Never. In no way, shape, or form is that at all my argument.
I have clearly stated my point half a dozen times to you so far this thread, and not once have you actually addressed it. I will copy it from an earlier post "Currently they ARE spending to enforce anti-gay legislation and to incarcerate those who take part in homosexual acts. This costs money, removing that legislation is free."
In no way does that imply we are right because we are wealthy. Our wealth has literally nothing to do with it, and is something I have never brought up.
