Our Rookies
In case you have not seen this or looked at it lately, here is a little something to whet your appetite as we all patiently (yeah, right) wait for September to get here. These guys are good! And they are big!
Can't wait to see them on the field, either this year or next year after redshirting!

RE: Our Rookies
Thanks AGGIE. I wonder which of the players from the 2015 class will end up playing this season. I think BW is planning on red shirting as many as he can. From the article I posted below it looks like Miles Fox, Jamez Brickhouse, and Denzel Williams are tabbed as red shirts, and that Jeremy Cox is probably going to see lots of action this season. What a great looking class of recruits in 2015.

Looks like the roster has been updated. We are so undersized on both sides of the ball. The players loss weight, is it because they built muscle? I thought muscle was heavier than fat. I hated watching Devon Johnson run over and through our defense. A possible repeat?

RE: Our Rookies
2015, I think you have a point at LB, but our OL is going to be huge. We also gave more size on the DL than we have had in the last couple of years. Size wise we will be ok.

It seems like we've recruited pretty well at D-Line; and they're all redshirting. Between Ximines, Appouh, Tyson, Wentz, Londree, and Fox, the line could be a serious strength in 3-4 years.

I agree. As to the op's mention of weight loss; I recall BW talking about some of our D-backs losing some body mass in exchange for added mobility. A linebacker can lose, say 25 lbs. of fat and add 10 lbs. of muscle for a net reduction of 15 lbs. while adding both strength and agility.

I recall the same mention a while back and he said we should look for most of the guys to look a bit leaner.

RE: Our Rookies
I'm not sure how Wilder will redshirt some of these guys. Based on seeing video from Hudl, it looks like the most talented group we have ever recruited. I would be shocked if at least two of them aren't starting in the Fall.

You gotta redshirts freshman lineman. The value of a year of mass/strength gains can't be overstated for the line.

RE: Our Rookies
The class that redshirted last year was ranked 2nd in the conference. They will be playing this season. This is the biggest, fastest, deepest we have ever been. There is a major lack of experience, but this is the most talented roster ODU has ever had.
