Steve Shields & Porter Moser were reunited for all of a couple of weeks. Going to Missouri as special asst to Kim Anderson, per @RobDauster.

RE: Steve Shields new job?
Wow! We were talking in the past about Steve getting an assistant job at a big school. Well he's in the SEC now. Great for Steve.

That is a good fit for him. He can be the one keeping the kids in line.

I assume he had Porter's "blessing". Hard to imagine he would screw a friend. Still seems like a strange move, other than maybe the money. Kim Anderson may not survive another year at Mizzou. Porter certainly appears to be heading in the upward direction.

Mizzou is closer to home (Austin, Texas and Little Rock, AR) than Chicago. And maybe a lot more money. Who knows.

Whole thing seems a little strange. Steve has been unemployed for 4 months. Anderson suddenly decides he needs a special assistant after Steve gets another job?

Weird. That's exactly my thoughts.
Regardless, I hope this works out well for Steve. He banked a lot of good Karma at LR keeping our program clean.

Yea, he should be, he spent twice as long at the job as any of the other coaches. Connie Mack probably won more baseball games than any other manager in baseball history, but he owned and managed the Philadelphia A's for fifty(that's 5 0)years,

Unfortunately for Steve, by being here longer than any other coach in history, he also has more losses than any other Little Rock coach in history.
