Article on why Justin Thomas is best QB in ACC
From a South Carolina paper no less...

The writers makes some good points. It will be interesting if Watson can stay stay healthy, it'll be interesting if he can sustain his flashes of brilliance over an entire season.

I love how everybody always says 'if he can stay healthy', like he's made out of glass. he beat SC last year on a torn ACL.

there is no way Justin Thomas is a better QB than Watson. He's an ok passer, not a great one. they are both athletic.

Here's the thing -- JT does not have to be an excellent passer at QB for GT. He has, however, demonstrated the ability to run PJ's offense.

And, he can stay healthy.

How about Watson?

IF he can stay healthy, I like him alot. But one ACL tear is enough to give me a pause...

The quote that should scare other teams is from PJ's long interview at media days. He said that JT sees and intuitively understands what the defense is doing and what adjustment he should do within PJ's offense to counter that. That brings me back to the does of Joe Hamilton and Fridge being on the same page without even saying anything.

Unlike last year where the OC was auditioning for his next job I am pretty sure the OCs this year will adapt the offense to fit the talent. Like the bowl game.

If Watson plays the entire season, he's probably better than Thomas.
The X factors are Kaaya and Golson.

he looked pretty bad in couple games last year, I believe the coach chewed him out like crazy in one game, UNC I think, which had terrible defense.

I think it is safe to say every player is at risk for injury and every player has a chance at a good season if they stay healthy. What happened last season doesn't predict the future. Watson could be injured again, or he could not. So why say he could be injuried. the possibility is already understood. it is a contact sport.
