The countdown clock is actually correct as it was set.

The clock is counting down until September 2, 2017 at 6:00pm CDT, which from this minute is 771 days, 8 hours, 30 minutes away.

14 hours, 30 minutes until tomorrow
160 days until 2016 (7+31+30+31+30+31 = 160)
366 days in 2016
244 days, 18 hours in 2017 (Sat Sept 2 6:00 pm) (31+28+31+30+31+30+31+31+1 = 244)

160+366+244 = 770 days

14 hours, 30 minutes + 18 hours = 1 day, 8 hours, 30 minutes

770 days + 1 day, 8 hours, 30 minutes = 771 days, 8 hours, 30 minutes

At 6 pm tomorrow the countdown clock should read 770 days exactly, which would be exactly 110 weeks from kick-off, should it occur at 6 PM on that date.

If 9/2/17 is a Saturday, then that makes it a Labor Day weekend. That opens up the possibility of playing on either Sat or Mon. that weekend. Since UAB is a nationally known "come back" story, we may get an opportunity to play our first game back on TV on Labor Day.
