RE: thoughts on the big 12 fiasco
lol the funny part is that antics is i said usf has horrible athletic resume in respect to the expansion debate...which is simply a fact...he saw that went super homer and started insulting & ignoring the rest....

if he had read 3 more sentences i said despite that usf could still be a top candidate if they found a way win

and jared, i didnt say you were a troll but that to you ( & most ucf/usf fans) anyone who doesnt agree with your ucf/usf rhetoric becomes a troll

Ha! You probably hit the nail on the head.

I'm 99.9% certain no ACC team is going.

90% certain Ohio State will go.

90% certain SEC and Pac12 champs go .

I don't see any other Pac12 teams other than their champ going.

So the decision for the 4th playoff team will be a second SEC, or, the Big12's champ.....I believe Committee guilt will tilt the favor towards the Big 12's champ and think SEC will be down a tad from last season anyway.....just a tad, but last season they only got 1 team into the playoffs.

baylor is starting at #5 in rankings and tcu starting at #2 ..they'll be given the edge over most similar record teams...

the sec is definitely getting a spot...the pac12 likely in aswell...

the big 10 is no lock, if ohio stae fumbles, no other big 10 has the rep
the acc is rebuilding on the 1 team that has the rep to get in

i would say not likely but a sec champ, pac 12 champ, baylor & tcu isnt impossible

espcially when you realize this is oregons first year without a chip kelly developed qb, fsu on a new qb, and the big 10 really empty outside of ohio state....michigan state the #2 big 10 isnt jumping tcu or baylor on the same record

I thought that stuff only happened in Mexico's seedy bars. Apparently in addition to booger eating, beating off ponies is the new fad for USF fans.

A totally unnecessary attack. I tire of the little brother attacks. If your upset that when you piss while holding yourself with one hand and urinate on four of your fingers, don't deflect towards others. See your doctor about enlargement methods or buy a strap on. Just leave the rest of us out of it. 05-mafia

I have been trying to be civil but the stick is getting old. 03-phew

Cry me a river. Completely feeble attempt at a comeback. It's fair and all fun and games when some other school is the object of the putdown/joke, but when someone makes a joke at the expense of USF its a "totally unnecessary attack." Get thicker skin and grow up. Btw, the word that you're attempting to use is shtick, not "stick." 07-coffee3

Have I ever posted these types of threads? Please show me when I have. Your using that type of BS comment in the first place shows your lack of maturity, not to mention that you have to interject USF into every freaking thread. Your inferiority complex is showing. I haven't lashed out at UCF and am damn tired of you doing so. It's old already.

As for the coffee shtick, maybe I'm sitting there reading the boards with a fresh cup of coffee. To which I've made reference many times but, don't let a simple "Smiley" stop you from attacking anyone. I had thought some of the UCF fans here had turned the corner, I was wrong. 03-puke

I never said you personally had posted such threads. The post that you took such umbrage with was in response to the USF poster who kept posting about "beating a one trick pony," referring in a derogatory manner to UCF. Where was your outrage then? My post was merely a joke and was general in nature and not directed to you personally in any manner. You, however posted directly in response to me individually in which you refer to me pissing on my fingers, and then proceed to tell me I'm the immature one. Frankly doctor, I'm a little uncomfortable with your fascination with my johnson, and your over the Internet diagnosis of my purported "inferiority complex." I mean which are you a urologist or a psychologist? In reality and contrary to your inaccurate assertion I rarely interject USF into any thread but will respond in kind in a thread such as this one where a USF fanboy posts negatively about UCF. Cheer up, you are the consummate USFer living in your own distorted reality where every slight against USF is directed to you personally and every slight toward another school is warranted and deserves no response. Your passive-aggressive responses undermine your unbiased objectivity. I reiterate get thicker skin and grow up.

How is someone saying that their school beat a one trick pony comparable to saying that the fans of another school stroke the genitalia of Horses? You can't be that stupid!!!! 05-nono

Face it, your comment was unwarranted and profane. Apologize like an adult. 04-rock

Better academics than Memphis. Medical and dental schools.

Yes, but do they have an accredited Architecture degree???? We do. 02-13-banana

Meh - BYU hasn't even been in a conference since 2010. And, while BYU hasn't finished in the top-25 in the last three seasons, they had a string of 5 in 6 years from 2006 to 2011. They also have 18 top-25 finishes since 1976 - when BYU started to care about football - meaning BYU has been ranked 46% of the time the last 40 years, including the national championship and three other top-10 finishes. The BYU trophy room actually has a Heisman, along with several Davey O'Brien, Doak Walker, Outland and other awards.

The Knights were ranked for the first time ever in 2010. The Knights needed to win their 2013 NCAA eligibility appeal on the postseason ban first, before they had the opportunity to even play Baylor. Thank goodness for that. Lucky to even have access to that kind of game because of your conference mates. The oft-cited bowl win propelled UCF all the way to the no. 10 ranking - the highest ranking in school history.

Last year, UCF needed home field and OT to beat BYU's backup QB in his first career start and with only ONE rushing attempt by BYU's 3-year starting RB (injury).

Someone move this to the Kumbaya thread...

You mean like the one that beat y'all in Miami? Twice? Figuratively and then literally?

That's was decision made by BYU and only BYU.

Meanwhile, UCF finally was invited to join their first ever all-sports conf for 2005...and obviously, since then, UCF's Football program has made great strides (played for and/or won 6 Conf Titles since then) and obviously their BCS Bowl win over Big 12 Champ Baylor.

BYU could have won conf titles (and maybe some BCS Bowl appearances) if they were still in an all-sports conf but BYU choose to go independent in football.

Remember that time BYU would have likely been 3rd or 4th in the AAC? 03-lmfao

We can bag on BYU all we want but remember that they make 3 times what we do on their tv contract and would have pounded Memphis into the dirt if their QB hadnt gotten hurt. That was a damn fine team before injuries. I am happy that Memphis won but BYU would have been a top 10 team if he hadnt gone down.

BYU is still a very attractive candidate and did what they needed to survive. I dont blame them.

You know for a fact they would have? Memphis lost key players last season too. Neither UCLA nor Ole Miss pounded Memphis in their own stadiums. BYU wouldn't have done so on a neutral field.

YNOT, you say that BYU would've done all this great stuff and go on to say: "it was the schools decision to go independent" and that "its likely that BYU would've been to a BCS game if they had played in an all sports conference" during this period. you are wrong. BYU has had a LOSING record vs MWC schools since leaving the MWC probably haha. .. You cant keep losing to Boise, Utah St, San Jose St, Nevada, Memphis, Houston and UCF over the past 4 seasons during independence) and then say you'd "likely win the MWC or AAC. . .. Explain please. Cheers!

RE: thoughts on the big 12 fiasco
regarding New Mexico: They're actually very good at a number of sports, and they're always one of the tops in the less-resourced 5 conferences:

Fall 2014: 33rd overall
Winter 2014-15: 53rd overall
2013-14: 51st overall
2012-13: 51st overall
2011-12: 41st overall

They are to the west of Bevo; they serve a low-population, lower-income state; and their football has had room for improvement for decades...but they're not bad in all sports. The opposite is true.

EDIT: whoops! Those are the Director's Cup standings. (yeeesh!...)
