Wake basketball will recover. Programs go through ups and downs. Why people think the current status quo for anyone is the way it's always going to be never ceases to amaze me.

What would ever possess you to think that Wake Forest would leave a conference paying them 20 + millon a year to go to a lower tier conference paying less than half that!!

I know Wake is historically a solid basketball program. But even while acknowledging that, they're still the ACC's least valuable property, by far. They won't leave and they won't be forced out, but they should.

supposedly wake basketball is where wake made their money, to offset the money they lose on football.

As I've said, I have no problem with Wake being in ACC. I don't have fantasies about playing Al and MS schools and Florida every year, like some people on here.

Is there no way for a conference to kick out a program?

I always thought it might be good for all the colleges who act like they are the bees kneews, UNC, Wake, Duke, UVA, ND, etc to form a Bees Knees Conference.

Kentucky produces very few D1 players and we seem to be doing just fine. WVU has connections in MD, NJ, FL, VA, etc and they have always done well. They would add a lot to the league.
