Anthony Swain
6'2 (I've seen him listed anywhere between 249-260lb range)

Graduated from Auburn, got his degree in Business. Transferred to USM, has one year of eligibility left. He will be able to play this fall. Looks like a beast to me!

He had a fumble recovery and four tackles in the BCS national champ. game a few years ago vs FSU (#43, pictured below rushing Jameis Winston)

So his coach at Auburn was E-loss Johnson? Think he helped steer him your way.

^ at least you know it wasn't a season ending injury. That's a great clip.

Something must have snapped. It happened to a friend of mine who was running on the seawall. She had just finished her run and then slowed down to a walk to cool off. A couple minutes later something just snapped in her knee. He'll definitely help the team though. He looks big enough to play on the DL.

Ellis Johnson hated USM, even while he was at USM. So the answer is there is no way he would have helped steer any player to USM.

Picked up another former 3/4 star today, former OK State and Miami defensive end Naim Mustafaa, that will be eligible immediately. Early signee with OSU in 2013 who transferred to Miami in August of 2013, but never played a down for either school and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Woodfin will get him whipped back into shape real quick. Nice pick up.

You wonder what kind of football shape he's in after not playing anywhere since his senior season in high school three years ago.

He was in collegiate football programs until October 2013, so that is much closer to 18 months than 3 years. Still, it will take a little time, and will be interesting to see if he ends up as a contributor or is just making another short stop on his college campus tours.

Here is what I have pieced together on Naim Mustafaa based on different articles:

Played his Sr season of high school in Fall of 2012.

Was committed to UGA.

Flipped commitment to Okie State, and signed with them in January 2013 early enough to go ahead and enroll and go through spring practice.

Finished spring as a 3rd team DE.

Left at end of spring semester and never returned to Stillwater.

Traveled to Honolulu to enroll at the Univ of Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors drug their feet in their admissions dept, so he went back home.

Shortly after, he enrolls at the Univ of Miami in Aug of 2013.

In October of 2013, it is reported that he is no longer with the Hurricane team.

Today there are reports that he will be enrolling at Southern Miss and will be eligible for the 2015 season.

I'd say we are a bit worried about the defense this year, huh?
