No it won't. It's things like this that make me hesitant to mention I'm a gun owner and support the second amendment, they tend to be soooooooo dramatic.

It's not dramatics. It's the same slippery slope argument that is used by both sides on various issues. The only difference is that on the issue of gun ownership and 2nd ammendment rights it's truely a potential life or death situation, not to mention that it's the most visible and symbolic right that we are granted as a check to government.

Yes, whoever wrote that article is clueless. He's proposing that if you are deemed "mentally incapable", it would be grounds to be denied the purchase.
Hmm. I seem to recall a gun show loophole and family members can pass hem to other family members without a check if I am not mistaken.
The "gun show loophole" is nonsense and has nothing to do with gun shows. Your beef is with private sales, and criminals are going to partake in those regardless.
Um, I do believe that the private sale at the gun show was the loophole. Of course, these "private sales" at the gun shows usually included numerous weapons.
This only applies to the individual carrying a rifle/ weapon on their person wanting to sell to another individual.
All the vendors are licensed FFL dealers AND have conduct the current FBI/ NICS background checks.
This entire myth of 40% of all gun sales loop hole at gun shows is a joke !
This is all incremental gun confiscation. Plain and simple.

So basically, anybody that wants to buy a gun can just go to a gun show and buy a gun in a private sale, with no background checks?

Yup. And the NRA wants to keep it that way.

As it should be. I 'll sell you chord of wood and a chainsaw too. No background checks person to person on those items.

Actually selling a chord of wood is more related than selling a gun. LMFAO
