I had to babysit my dog who has an e-collar on right now. Otherwise, I had a fine evening planned downtown with a gift cert to the Green Beetle. Man, oh, man, was I disappointed. The caliber and quantity of the homecooking at the Beetle has to be experienced. And the calories are through the roof.

I heard someone say just the other day that the trolleys are needed to revive downtown. Proof positive he had not been anywhere near downtown in many years. 200+ restaurants and bars. Beale Street is just the beginning of what is there.

As long as no one brings in fava beans and chianti, seems OK. Blended Livers and gravy is just a smoother version of giblet gravy....right?
