I look for the MAC to surprise this year. A lot of experience returning on teams that were strong last year and the bottom half should improve some as well.
By the end of the season, I predict the MAC, AAC and MW to be neck and neck in the Massey Composite. The top half of the MAC will be very good. Good enough to bring the conference rating as a whole, again, up there with aac/MW. Even with the bottom half of the MAC weighing the conference down.
If I were to be objective, I'd say the final Massey Composite will be as such by the end of this season's bowls...
1 thru 6: P5 + Independents. (Note: I see the ACC being way down this season)
7: AAC About 72.00 to 75.99
8: MAC. About 77.00 to 83.99
9: MW. About 79.00 to 82.99
10: CUSA. In the upper 80's to mid 90's
11: SBC: In the 90's
I see ACC ending in the 60's....which historically is pretty much unheard of for an AQ/P5 conference to be that low.
I hope AAC has a lot of head to head with ACC this year.....I can definately see AAC having the winning record between the two conferences.
Some MAC teams will shock some P5's this year.
Boise will be the G5 rep in the Access Bowl again, edging out the best AAC and MAC teams. Even though MW I predict to be down a tad this year, Boise will still climb the polls enough to get the Committee's nod.
