RE: Art Long
If Sean Kilpatrick makes the NBA this year, wouldn't you expect some mention of it from local reporters? When Kenyon recently retired, didn't it get mention here? Isn't it standard to report on the ongoings of former athletes from local schools?
I don't get the outrage of people blaming the media.

The news in Cincinnati can cover a story of a player from 20+ years
ago, but they bury the story about a white kid nearly beat to death
downtown...

Just wondering, since I don't get the Enquirer, or even read their site (I live in Wichita after all). My question is, was Kenyon's retirement on the front page? I have two independent accounts (one here, one on BCJ) that the Art Long story is on the fishwrap.com home page. If we had to dig for the Kenyon story, it is clear to me you can jump into the Enquirer-blaming crowd, free of guilt.

Art Long story on page 13 of the sports section surrounded by nothing but advertisement on the rest of the page. Kenyon was much bigger story.

Thank you Bro That would therefore back Overrated's point.
As for Art being at the top of the web page - is it usually a chronology thing? Do the most recent stories get to the top?

the Enquirer should have had an article on front page of the Travesty of BRUCE JENNER getting the biggest ESPY AWARD over the late Lauren Hill. She was more of a hero than he ever will be.

Yeah, it was on the homepage/landingpage of cincinnati.com. We do not subscribe to the actual fish-wrap any longer.

Art Long would have to make the top 5 list of all time thugs in UC basketball. My list would go:
1) Whaley
2) Little
3) Long
4) Roy Bright
5) Corey Blount
Thought about adding Anthony Buford, but he genuinely seem nice, despite the fact that he stole a lot of money
Honorable Mention: Souleymane for stealing rubbers lol

Well , he's in Rochester, NY now , hasn't played for UC in 20 years and yet its front web page Enquirer news . Way to go . Even tho he's still a loser must we still take image hits decades later?

What did Blount do? I do not remember him in trouble.

RE: Art Long
I would add Patterson and Fortson to the list.
Reuben was a punk.
Fortson showed flashes of thuggery at UC but really came full circle with it in the NBA.
