Over/under for football wins this year at KU is 1.5. The Memphis game will be crucial...

It's going to be interesting to see if the Tigers can perform when expected to rather than as the underdog. I'm hoping for some good things this season.

I expect big things from the offense this year. It's the other side of the ball that worries me.

Their roster is pathetic. 66 scholarship players.

Kansas is historically one of the worst football programs in Div 1. They're in real danger of becoming UCONN 2.0 in conference realignment.

It is my understanding they have only one true returning starter on defense and their QB suffered a major knee injury in the Spring game and probably will not be back that early.

Kansas has all the advantages of "Power 5" + state flagship prestige and revenue. You can only put 11 players on the field at a time. I've been watching college football for well over half a century - don't expect an easy win.

Any word on travel plans to the game? I think it's about an 8 hour drive, which is doable, but might be worth flying if the tickets are reasonable.

Maybe we'll be like a pack of dogs on a 3-legged cat, then. It'd be nice.

Did you read the article?

Quote: If Cummings’ knee injury sidelines him for the season — which remains a possibility — the Jayhawks will be burdened with replacing 70 percent of their passing yards, 64 percent of their rushing yards and 93 percent of their receiving yards.

They will not feature a pass-catcher who caught a touchdown or hauled in more than eight catches last year. They will not possess a running back who scored a touchdown or rushed for more than 450 yards. They will have zero skill-position players who started more than one game (senior running back De’Andre Mann earned one start last year).

Combine the lack of depth with the lack of returning talent and the early schedule date and the Tigers should roll.

3-1/2 hours for me from Bentonville. Nice, very hilly campus. Stadium is sort of a dump for a P5 member.

Looking forward to it very much.

Wow... KU is a disaster right now. I fully expect us to blow them off the field. They have at least 25 walk on's?? No way we can be favored by 1 touchdown!

So am I - I like visiting campuses that I have never seen before. Tiger fans should strive to tailgate in the same area.
