So what do YALL got

I've got Ohio State repeating...I think they're stacked, Urban Meyer is the man, they've got 3 QBs, they're the next dynasty

I think they'll go wire to wire (who was the last team to do that???)

As for the other spots....I really like Baylor and TCU to both make it this year. The Big XII is going to be weak....it's a good time to play Oklahoma and Texas.

So that leaves #4???

I can't make my mind up between Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Notre Dame....I think it will be one of those teams though

I think Alabama and FSU are out this year....the SEC West will eat itself. Also, I don't see anyone from the PAC 12 making it

so....

#1 Ohio State vs. #4 Notre Dame
#2 Baylor vs. #3 TCU

RE: What are your official playoff predictions? Who wins it all??
IMO, if Baylor loses one game with that pathetic OOC schedule, they are OUT.
TCU could make it despite losing to Baylor IF Minnesota is good. I just don't see both of them being selected.

I think the ACC champ goes IF it only has 0 or 1 loss.
Same for the SEC champ, with a SLIM chance if they have 2 losses even.

I do think the Pac-12 produces a 0 or 1 loss champ, and that team is IN.

So I'm thinking Big Ten champ, Pac-12 champ, Big XII champ, and one of ACC/SEC/Notre Dame.

G Tech lost 4 or 5 of their top running backs from last year and their top 2 wide receivers. their defense was not good overall last year despite a lot of interceptions. they were fortanute to win as many games as they did last year.

I wouldn't bet on Baylor given they never have a good defense. TCU is not a bad choice.

I predict the SEC does not have a team in the finals. They'll have a 2 loss champion that edges out another P5 conference 1 loss champion to get into the playoffs.

If Clemson has an injury light year without losing their QB, they can go all the way. If they have 1 loss they'll be left out of the playoffs.

If Baylor has 1 loss, they'll be left out of the playoffs as I hope the CFP committee will punish teams for scheduling weakly out of conference.

Not a playoff prediction, but I predict Tennessee win the SEC East.

I love how GT platoons like 8 RB and so when just two of them leave everybody freaks out. WR will probably be a downgrade, but the cubbard isn't bare.

The defense got no credit despite huge strides, and they'll be far stronger with Hunt-Days back and Whitehead eligible.

The biggest thing going against GT? People expect them to do well.

1990: Not too much expected. National Champions.
1991: Much expected. 8-5

1998: Good but not great. 10-2.
1999: Much expected. 8-4

2008: First year new coach. A big step back. 9-4.
2009: Good but not great. 10-3.
2010: Much expected. 6-7.

2014: The end of PJ? 11-3.
2015: Much expected. ???

Its pretty amusing to me too. Its pretty funny that Paul Johnson was on the hot seat this year at this time and just responds with an 11-3 season that included a great win over UGA in Athens and a blowout win in the Orange Bowl.

You loss 3 running backs from last year who accounted for 2300 yards last year. You also lost another running back to injury who was expected to be a starter. The O line has a lot of experience so it might not matter, but rarely is a team that great on offense with a bunch of new players at the skilled positions. It helps you have an athletic quarterback.

nobody is freaking out about G Tech

G Tech would have lost the game to Clemson last year if Watson had not been hurt early in the game. Their defense could not stop him, he was about to score a TD before the freak leg injury.

G Tech had a lot of freak wins last year, like that Pitt game where they turned it over a million times, and the Virginia Tech game

Clemson will get in if they only have 1 loss, unless the team that beat us is undefeated or only has 1 loss. ND, FSU, G Tech at home, Lousville, SC and Miami on the road plus NC State and BC is a solid schedule.

You really have no idea if this is true or not. He got injured so early in the game, that you don't know if Clemson would have won or not. Lucky breaks are a part of sports. The fact of the matter is that GT had three wins over Top 15 teams: Georgia, Clemson and Mississippi State.

your defense was 18th worse is nation. G Tech lucked out with a very high turnover margin all season when the other team was threatening to score.

UGA had two turnovers like on the 1 yard line.

That's true, you did win. You had a solid team last year. We will see how Tech does this year at Clemson with Watson.

Tech starts off at ND, at Duke, UNC, at Clemson. You could easily be 0-4 after that stretch, with the assumption Duke will still be decent, with games still left against atMiami, FSU and VIrginia Tech, and at Virginia.

And UGAg got handed a free TD defending their own 1 yard line from the ball not being blown dead in a pile. And UGAg got a freak turnover late they needed to go ahead with 18 seconds left. These things tend to even out.

And there is no ... mark that down ... NO chance they go 0-4 in that stretch.

you guys are kind of full of yourself. you are not some kind of dominant program after a few good wins last year. you coudl very well go 0-4 or 1-3 during that stretch.

you lost 5 of your main skilled players from last year and your best guy on defense. and you werne't go on defense last year other than picking up fumbles and some timely interceptions in the red zone that bailed you out.

We platoon RB's out the wazoo. The best player on defense was academically ineligible last year (and Nealy still wasn't the best player on the field), and the turnovers in the red zone are vintage early Ted Roof defense. Bend but don't break. Roof made his philosophy when he came in crystal clear: We're going to play base defense every damn snap until they're good at it. Only then will we start adding in blitz packages and schemes. And a base defense tends to give up yards between the 20's but stiffen up when compressed in the red zone.

Of the 14 players listed as earning rushing yardage last year on the official GT athletics website you return four. One of them is the punter.

That's because a crapload of people got the redshirt last year. I count after the transfers 12 A Backs and 8 B Backs.

So which is it? Do you rotate backs out the wazoo like you say and the stats dispute or do you have a bunch of players in the position that have zero stats in Paul Johnson's system?

You seem to think the two are mutually exclusive.

Uhhh hello. When you roll TWELVE DEEP that doesn't mean you don't play all 12. You play the top half. Which is what happens.

I can only imagine what you'd think of a pro-set that only plays two backs all game.

I'm just trying to help you get your facts straight.

Clemson returns eight of thirteen from last season with rushing yards from primarily a one back offense. One would assume that an offense with three position players (QB, A-Back, B-Back) where their primary job was to carry the ball who supposedly "rotate backs out of the wazoo" wouldn't have half as many players with rushing yardage from last year returning.

That's what you get for ass-u-me'ing.

Also, how many of those Clemson 8 were WR's taking end arounds to score on the Chickens? Or people in FCS cleanup duty who didn't see the field otherwise?

Clemson returns eight of thirteen from last season with rushing yards from primarily a one back offense. One would assume that an offense with three position players (QB, A-Back, B-Back) where their primary job was to carry the ball who supposedly "rotate backs out of the wazoo" wouldn't have half as many players with rushing yardage from last year returning.

That's what you get for ass-u-me'ing.

Also, how many of those Clemson 8 were WR's taking end arounds to score on the Chickens? Or people in FCS cleanup duty who didn't see the field otherwise?

Well as for WRs scoring on the chickens none. Every score that a WR had against the coots was considered a pass by NCAA rules.

As for how many of the eight only earned stats in FCS cleanup duty.....also none. In fact one of the non-returnees only earned stats in the SCSU game last year.

Still doesn't explain how players can have game experience in Paul Johnson's system because of the rotation you bragged about and still redshirted.
