We probably won't do the grid anymore - I have over 2 grand in my Honda inverter generator and someine screwed with it the last time....The fact it weighs 135 lbs saved it.....they only flipped it over and flooded it out. Not leaving all my stuff out there to possibly be messed with to have to do the scrum to breakdown post game. It's fun when we have done it but the breakdown is a grind. No mas bueno.

After being early adopters of tailgating on campus since the 80s, we may change gears this year and go easier and cheaper. The downside of success is it gets monetized at every angle. I already feel like my hobbies and interests get into my wallet plenty as it is.

Might look into private property arrangements with clients who own property around campus or the lot behind Martino's if that is still open. We just bought 10 parking passes for the Friday night sold out Moeller tailgate at the school on Short Vine. Is that still an option for UC games?

That lot is where BearcatMark and Myself tailgate in. The lot is a little smaller this year since they put in new apartments in behind Martinos but still plenty of space.

Good to hear. You and Mark may find that I am like that long lost relative that swings into town to spend a night on the couch but then who decides to hang around indefinitely eating you out of house and home.

The upside is we normally roll with lots of high end grog, venison tenderloin for the grille and Eastside J who is much much more of an international raconteur than I am.

Fine by us we usually have plenty of food and drinks!

What do they charge back there and theres a good number of tailgaters that set up? Haven't been in that back lot since there was a b dubs on that corner . : ) . Exploring my options since Campus Green rooftop garage doesnt seem to be an option this year.

It was $20 the last few years. There are are core group of 10 or so cars that park together. Then there is also a tailgate bus that parks there. Its usually the same people every year. I would get there early because the spots fill up fast. We usually get there around noon for night games.

Grid is almost sold completely out btw. I believe we have two spots left. Rooftop Tailgate is $350 for the season for anyone meeting the MVP level UCATS membership level. That comes with a parking spot and an assigned tailgating spot.

RE: Tailgating ??
I believe that my group this year is also tailgating at martinos. I was told by the guy that runs our deal that we have like17 spots reserved... Didn't know they did that but I was also informed that it would be $25 a game. Going to email the man right now.
Upon further review we are actually behind Bogarts.

Question: If we park in Campus Green garage and sip on some adult beverages in plastic cups before the game, will we be hassled?
Plan on hitting the grid as well. THX!

Shouldn't be a problem. Just don't light up a grill.

Campus Green two years ago was pass and/or cash. It will just be pass this year. However, you can pre-purchase single game passes on Campus Parking Service's website. There is another thread I started that has info.

Bought a pass for the garage. We typically park on the roof and do a no-grill tailgate on the roof. Is that going to be a problem this year? Hasn't been in the past and usually there are a bunch of groups up there.

I was told, by someone who called the ticket office, that Campus Green is sold out. At least for Sat.
