The butthurt line has somewhat jumped the shark.

In defending my university against the disparaging lines that daddy boys paid representative sent our ways, I am certainly irritated.

The butthurt we see is by a bunch of group thinkers who treat an 18-14 season as winless, treat ever so slightly one game short of sweet sixteen seasons as failures, make fun of our own coach...not constructively criticizing game moves, and tag team other fans. They scream butthurt, if you must use that term.

They are too scared to stand up and defend Memphis. And essentially invite the type of nasty crap daddy boys paid hand sent our way.

When you guys do not respect yourself, why would outsiders.

And again, because they hate it if you do not include this every time, I felt and feel that another season like last year should result in a change, as that is not acceptable at Memphis in a longer term basis.

If my son was miserable and wanted out, then I'd do what I could to get him where he wanted to be. I dont understand how that qualifies as screwing or "whoring out". Whoring out, in my opinion, would be demanding a spot on the bench making 100k in exchange for 3 damn good basketball players.

B is giving good advice here stammers. Might put your love of arguing over nothing aside for a minute and pay attention.

It bees this ways sometimes. We will get through it all. AN wanted to play here but our program lacks a skilled coaching staff that comes with experience. I cannot blame the young man, all things considered for wanting to leave, I would want to transfer to with all that is at stake. If I was his father I would feel the same way. don't try to hold my family hostage. Until CJP shows that he can get her done the question marks will overshadow the Memphis program. We have not overachieved one season during his tenure. Hopefully the Lawsons will turn that around, but who knows.

Nichlols was a part of that. Instead of bearing down and leading what was expected to be a good team, he chose to quit that role. In large part because the toxic we have. It won anything garbage got to his daddy, who felt his private school charge was too good for Memphis anyway.

When the private school daddy boy signed here, Memphis had not won at an elite level under Pastner. Memphis had won...but fallen just short of elite, after he signed, the team in the 2013 season won over thirty games, swept the conference and tourney, advanced in the NCAA tourney then fell to Michigan State. While down around ten heading into the laste media session, it was clear that while good, Memphis was indeed short of elite that season, certainly in that game, but a,, things considered 31-5 was very solid.

He enters as a freshman to a team with experienced guards. He played well for a freshman but hits the wall late. The team is helter skelter. A team he was a part of, but. It the leader. Team loses several games by big margins. Team also beats several top ten teams, ending the season with five elite level wins...as many as nearly every team in the country.

Some weird losses, but those five wins...a fourth consecutive NCAA tourney. Another first game win...then Virginia. Team did not play well in that game and for the second year were bounced with a big loss. Nichols was part of that team. A disappointing ending but hardly a failed season.

Last year, puffery aside. Last knew it may be a struggle at guard...and that turned out to be the case, and the team struggled, relative,y speaking. Nichols played well in his second year. The poor guard play improved as the year went alone and Memphis played itself into bubble status before not one but two Nichols injuries resulting in a 1-6 record in his missed games had the team slide from the bubble even out of the NIT with a 18-14 record.

But...

Heading into the next season Nichols was to be the focus, and the inexperience at guard seemed to be addressed. Unlikely to have Joe Jacksons all over the place, but with a healthier Kedren, a veteran transfer in Tarrant, plus more experience, a weakness was shored up, leaving the team strongest at the bigs, with Nichols, Shaq and incoming Lawson plus more.

Yes, some transfers out for playing time, some very loud grousing based on the above, yet by really any realistic look, team in position to be quite good again.

Then the fanbase concludes that because the 2013 and 2014 team lost one game short of the sweet sixteen, another good team must also fall short of that. A logic that makes little sense.

Instead of a realistic man that was a sown season for us even with the injuries and
Pastner needs to break through next year, it becomes grotesquely Loud that we cannot win, coach is a clown etc,....

Anyone presenting what seems to be realistic checks gets assailed...and the. Precious daddy boy quits, seemingly at the behest of his daddy. But. It before his paid mouth piece disparages the hell out of our school.

And instead of our oh so tough and loyal fan base telling them to F off, they snicker at the further shots at our coach.

And what was a solid fun fan site turns into a smack fest where our own fans act like utk fans and re proud of it.

And after hundreds of mocking coach posts, the same crew will assault this small handful of longer posts.

And hell, not because of the thugs, but I still believe another season like last year would be too sub par at a place like Memphis and we would need a change. But that seems to pleasant when he is a clown we deserve to have daddy boy quit and sabotage a season crew.
