2015-16 schedules- Big East conference schedule released.
Saw this analysis for Marquette:
http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...e-desired/
11/9: Valley City State (Exhibition)
11/13: Belmont (Legends Classic)
11/16: IUPUI (Legends Classic)
11/19: Iowa (Gavitt Tip-Off Games)
11/23-24: Arizona St./LSU/NC St., New York, N.Y. (Legends Classic)
11/29: Jackson State
12/02: Grambling St.
12/05: Maine
12/08: San Jose State
12/12: at Wisconsin
12/22: Chicago State
12/27: Presbyterian
1/27: Stetson

what a dreadful home schedule. They better not lose all 4 of the tough games OOC or they would need to get at least 11 wins in conference play to have much of a shot. I understand 1-2 dogs, but 8?

RE: 2015-16 schedules
Conference schedule should be coming out next week I would think. It'll be interesting to see as a lot of teams are so inexperienced that it'll be interesting to see which ones get the easier early schedule, and who gets let in the deep end right off the bat.

I know which side of the coin Marquette falls on this year...

RE: 2015-16 schedules
One thing you can really tell is the big boys are getting a ton of attention...
Villanova 5 Fox ,1 CBS game- 6 total
Georgetown 4 Fox, 2 CBS- 6 total
Xavier 3 Fox
Butler 2 Fox, 1 CBS
Providence 2 Fox
St John's, Marquette, Seton Hall 1 game each
nothing for Creighton/DePaul
there is 1 or situation where either Marquette/Butler or Creighton/Xavier will get an extra Fox appearance.

I think it's so funny on the other site people saying St John's shouldn't play games against schools like Duke or Pitt to not allow them in the recruiting area- but then Duke has 3 games at MSG this year and Pitt has 1 game at MSG this year. St John's can't control how MSG schedules- and often times with things, MSG doesn't even really control it, ESPN does with the exempt tournaments along with the Jimmy V Classic).

(note looking WV and UConn also get a game at MSG with the Jimmy V classic).

St Johns not playing Duke isnt going to stop duke from gettting New York recruits. I understand why some are angry and dont want to schedule old BE teams becasue they feel betrayed. They need to move on. I liked the old BE but todays situation is probably ultimately best for both sides.
Plus if bringing in Duke or school x helps boost attendance of a BE school its a good thing. Even playing at a school like Duke is good for the BE, especially if the BE team gets a victory

no doubt. The thing though is- St John's can't say we won't play Duke, so that's going to keep Duke from being able to play at MSG. That's what Gumby is trying to say that St John's can tell these other schools to pound sand and those schools won't get to play at MSG and get the recruiting advantage.

X also has CBS and ESPN games -- and all but 2 of their games (both against Cupcake State) will be on national or regional stations that I get here in South Carolina. This is the most coverage X has ever received, so moving to the BigE has certainly worked for me!

I love the Cupcake State thing. That's maybe the funniest term I've heard of for those schools.
