You know I kinda saw that , but couldn't determine if it was just a kinda sidewise arm fist pump thing or the actual UC sign. We'll go with it ....

RE: Frazier throws up the UC sign after HR Derby victory
It was a great moment for Frazier, the Reds and our city. I'd like to believe I saw what I saw. I just can't convince myself that would be top of mind for him at that moment. He's clearly the bright spot in a dismal Reds season.

With that said, if he likes the Bearcats book him now as grand marshal of the Homecoming Parade; have a Todd Frazier night @ Nippert where he's honored for his achievement with highlights on the big screen, honor him at a UC alumni gathering in NJ/NY (if he still makes his home there). This city loves (and needs) winners and UC should seize every opportunity to extend the brand with celebrities from professional sports and entertainment.

He does that arm motion after every big hit for the Reds. I'm skeptical it's about the Bearcats, but maybe.

There is one connection between UC and Todd Frazier, Under Armour.

It wasn't a "UC"...at best it was a "CU", as he ended with his hands up, not to his left.

He's often on the sidelines of UC Football games. So who knows...

Had the opportunity to meet @FlavaFraz21 a few times on the sidelines at #Bearcats football games. Always super nice & gracious. #HRDerby

Regardless, Todd is a stand-up guy , great ambassador for the city. To have him in our corner as a Bearcat fan is a plus for us.

I think people are seeing what they want to see in his arm motions.
I don't see it as the "UC" (more just exuberance) but it would be fun if he said that was what he was doing.

BTW I believe he played for Rutgers and his wife was a gymnast for Rutgers so that would be where his primary collegiate allegiance lies. Not to say he might not pick up an affection for the school in the town he plays.

He does seem like a really great guy, great player and wonderful ambassador for MLB.

Was a great moment for the city last night! I do not care where he went to school, as long as he supports UC he is alright in my book.

If you went to Rutgers , you'd support another football team too.

I jest.

I do think UC should reach out to him and try and get him to Nippert sometime during the fall season.
It would probably have to be after the Reds season is over to fit in his schedule.

He is a Rutgers guy, but my understanding from the twitter world is he began following UC a couple years ago. Major Leaguers often adopt local colleges and universities despite going to a different school of their own (for instance, Matt and Dallas Latos were big XU followers during their time here and Chad Johnson was/is a Bearcat supporter as well).

The good news is Urban Meyer was soundly booed during the celebrity softball game. The bad news is so was Andy Dalton. I'm not the biggest AD fan, but I don't think he should be booed on National TV in a supposed fun event. Looks bad on the people of Cincinnati. Meyer on the other hand, I don't mind. 03-lmfao Helps show the rest of the world that Cincy is NOT an O$U town, like every thinks we are. 05-stirthepot

Todd has been making those "UC" looking arm motions after pretty much every big hit this season. I'd wondered if it was a Bearcats thing or not but decided it was unlikely since he is a Jersey guy. No idea what else it could be though - fraternity thing maybe?

Ha came out here this morning looking to see if anyone had saw what I thought I saw after he won. Was not posted so I thought it was something else. I really like the new format of the HR derby.

As others have said, he has done it all year and he will go in both directions with the twist, so I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with UC, though I don't know what it actually means.

I think I am going to go with him giving the UC sign, until he says otherwise.
