said this morning on the radio to think about the chances of a two-loss team going to the Sugar Bowl to play for the NC against Oklahoma. Guess who they mentioned? :gasp: Dare I say, the Rebels? Granted, I wouldn't put too much stock in that, but they did say that if Ole Miss wins out, wins the SECCG, that they deserve a shot at it just like any other two-loss team, assuming we get some help from some of the one-loss teams and take care of our business. Again granted, it's not going to happen, but it's fun to think about. Besides, we are talking about a Rebel team that is the only undefeated team in the SEC, and we are the fourth lowest ranked SEC team in the polls, behind a 3-loss Florida team that WE BEAT, mind you??? HUH?
Anyway, don't worry, I'm not smoking crack and buying into this bologna, plus I'm not the one who dreamt this lunacy up, but it is fun to think about. :D I'm just the messenger.

Hey Klutz,
Quote:1913...Virginia Tech beat Ole Miss 34-14 in Blacksburg.
1968...Ole Miss beat Va Tech 34-17 in the Liberty Bowl(Memphis).
By my calculations, that would make it 1-1. I was no math major but....

In keeping with the lexicon of sports writers everywhere, that just goes to show all that I don't know jack-shee-aht about sports!
Just wondering though, how do you think Ole Miss got to Blacksburg back in 1913? By boat? It probably took them a week! I mean, that was freakin' long ago when they had nothin' in the South, thanks do those dab-burned, Yankee yellow belly liberal oppressors! :D

If I had to guess I would say by steam locomotive...after all we had those in the 1800's!

Well by 1913, freakin' Sherman had those all bow-tied!
No wonder UM got stomped, it probably took them a week and a dozen train changes to get there!
Oh well, bring on the Hokies, whatever the hell that is. Wait, I think a Hokie is a code word for one of those librul yellow bellow pinko tree huggers.
In the words of George Bush, "bring'em on!"

I'd give my left nut to see Ole Miss play V-Tech. I think that'd be awesome! I want LSU to play Tech again, too..... maybe next time we won't get stomped like last year.

Calm down purple n gold...I can understand wanting to see a good game but willing to give up some nads is a little too much. You must have gotten hold of some potent crawfish.

I'd rather just buy a ticket in advance and keep both of my nads in place, purple, but do what you will. When you're a man wanting children years from now and you only got one nut to produce, thank yourself!

WHAT'S A HOKIE?
The answer leads all the way back to 1896 when Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College changed its name to Virginia Polytechnic Institute. With the change came the necessity for writing a new cheer and a contest for such a purpose was held by the student body.
Senior O.M. Stull won first prize for his "Hokie" yell which is still used today. Later, when asked if "Hokie" had any special meaning, Stull explained the word was solely the product of his imagination and was used only as an attention-getter for his yell. It soon became a nickname for all Tech teams and for those people loyal to Tech athletics.
The official university school colors - Chicago Maroon and Burnt Orange - also were introduced in 1896. The colors were chosen by a committee because they made a 'unique combination' not worn elsewhere at the time.
The official definition of "hokie" is "a loyal Virginia Tech Fan
...and despite what many people think NO! It's is not a castrated turkey!

Yeah, you are going to make your little guys work twice as hard.
Had a good friend that didn't have but 'one' and he has 3 kids. They are all perfectly normal. (I know there are some people that doing understand reproduction, etc. and they probably think you would only have 1/2 of a kid or that you have to 'pop' it to your wife twice as many times to turn the trick.)
