DJ's senior season was one of the great Tiger stories of all time.
yep...that 6'4 - 6'5 kid was our best rim defender in YEARS. While he was in the game...all he ever did was make something good happen, a steal, a turnover, a blocked shot, a dunk...
Yep, and at the end he had even developed a 3 point shot. Kid was awesome in so many ways.
Let's not get carried away.
He averaged making 0.4 three pointers a game. He had one game where he made more than 1 three pointer.
Three of his 13 (total for the season) three point makes were in the Minnesota game in the Bahamas. He was 4-8 (50%) from three in November, 29% from December until March.
Again, though, the coach missed out on tapping into DJ's unique skill set for three years and sorta backed into even having DJ on that team (remember Pastner was trying to get DJ to redshirt his senior year) until roster issues required him to keep DJ on.
Well, supposedly,he had the asthma issues but had some sort of surgery before his senior season that allowed him to stay on the floor longer. At least, that was the official story at the time.

No offense, but that may be the worst case of revisionist history ever. We get it, you don't like DJ.

That is your strange way of looking at it. Kind of obvious to the rest of us that DJ improved every year.

You're talking to people about DJ. All they do is get carried away.

I saw DJ do a 720 between the legs on a 16 footer once.
