Name that Stadium
So I was flying back from Dominican Republic yesterday. About 10, 15, 20 ?minutes into the east coast (from the Atlantic) I looked down at saw a good size college football stadium. First glance I said that is Neyland, then I noticed no river, so not Knoxville. It looked like Neyland with both end zones totally filled in and upper decks. So I ruled out Blacksburg,
The Stadium was situated at the Southern edge in between a couple of mountain ranges (like Blacksburg) .......should say south of the mountain ranges. Not much population density either. If I had to guess we came in over North Carloina, but IDK?
Any thoughts, name that Stadium?

Based on your flight plan maybe Clemson? Tennessee is a full bowl and full upper deck around the entire stadium.

Even could have been South Carolina, App State, or maybe North Carolina.

Upper and lower bowl were similar is size and scope, like Neyland or Notre Dame. There were no cut outs on the sides of the end
zones. A totally filled in oval.

I don't know only places I could think of would be Tennessee in that area, maybe Bank of America Stadium but you would have noticed Charlotte.

It will be a football stadium on Sept. 10, 2016 when Virginia Tech and Tennessee play there: http://www.bristolmotorspeedway.com/battleatbristol/

It was your comments about the surroundings that made me think Bristol. You wont find a football stadium in that kind of surroundings.
As was said though, that is going to be a crazy stadium when Tennessee and Virginia Tech go at it.
