I think they have to denounce his statements but what they can't do is let Trump dominate the campaign. Until someone comes out aggressively he steals all the air time.
By responding, then it becomes all about Donald. That's what he wants. He isn't trying to become president. He isn't driving some ideological campaign. He's about getting attention. The more you respond, the more the focus stays on the Donald.
I guess we just disagree on strategy. But right now all the focus is on him. I think a strong denouncement of his statements followed by ignoring his attempts to bait you into a back and forth with him would be important. Once the denouncement is made your advise about ignoring him is something I would agree with.
They can't denounce his statements because his statements are the Republican party beliefs. Most just don't say it that bluntly.
Exactly. Trump is pulling the curtain and exposing the wizard.
