Yes, the early/mid 80's were all music videos. Dire Straits' video "Money For Nothin'" was the peak in 1985.

Regarding the video in this post ... I don't want to give up my white privilege.

That's all well and good, but it isn't targeting you. It's targeting kids (who have been taught to obsess over political correctness, everything's racist, everything's sexist, etc.), and I can only imagine what they will "learn" from this crap.

Started with Bevis and Butthead.

Early 90's was the epic moment of MTV. Music videos started to take an artistic format. Fortunately I had some of the best music as a teenager in the early/mid 90's. Grunge, rap, and rock were all exploding at that time. Then the mid to late 90's came with Backstreet Boys, and girl pop artist ....... all downhill since then

I believe that the video for "Take on Me" was based upon Jacques Derrida's theory of postmodern desconstruction.

I need to get some of that white privilege. Can I have reparations for the white privilege that I'm due?
