I think the spots are okay, and I actually know one of the people featured. I just believe it would have been much better if they used UAB Digital Media or the like, though. Let students put something together under the guidance of professionals and add the money for the spots to their respective budgets.

I hope her departure marks the exit of some other people dragging the university down.

I would bet those were outstanding invoices. Most every company/entity waits the full term before paying an invoice. So if the invoice was dated 3/30 with payment due in 30 days, they would send payment at 28 days. This maximizes the interest earned on that money in the entity's bank account.

I will admit that I enjoy the TV spots they put together that are embedded in the article below. Not sure that justifies using an inside company but I also don't know what they were paying before.

Thesis Media was cheaper than its predecessor, but it received a no-bid contract as a company with no portfolio, resume or history.

That is a great video!!!! Shows diversity of students and highlights several scholastic opportunities on and off campus.

I liked the Bruno spot that said you could go to UAB to become a lawyer.

I liked the one where the girl said that she really liked the balance of academics and student life at UAB. It was the perfect mix. This was taped before football was shut down. Oops.
