I dont know what the solution is but if the dome is going to stay a part of ETSU then I would think some significant money needs to be invested and a long term plan needs to be made. Maybe there is a long term plan for the dome and we just don't know about it. I didn't see anything about it in the last campus master plan.

I always wanted that to be the future home of on campus basketball arena. Sadly there is foundation issues with the Domes site and this is not a possible solution. If there are foundation issues I just imagine we will keep the dome there for a long while.

RE: New Football Stadium Update
There are plans for improving facilities and building new facilities. The solution to implement these plans is simple, money.

The university announced the "Embrace Excellence Initiatives" on March 9th. Go to givebucs.com for details.

Of course the university is asking for money to support these plans, a concept that is normal at any college or university but seems to be alien to many that call themselves Buc fans.

So you are saying money is what is needed to pay for things? I don't think any of us realized that was how money worked.

Or maybe needing money was implied and we were just discussing what we would like to see in the future.

I would also bet that lots of people who frequent the board already give to ETSU.

BREAKING: Things cost money. Nate Morabito will have an in depth investigative report at 11.

The place is looking really good. The cam is working (for now). Wonder when the turf and seats will go it?

Drove by last week. The tower looks a lot bigger in real life. Getting excited about this. Five years ago this would have been unimaginable.

New Football Stadium Update
The whole place looks much bigger in person. It looks pretty small when you see it on the WebCam. If you can make it by and haven't yet, I would suggest doing so.

Guessing the concrete pads at the top of the visitor's side seats are for ADA compliance? It's really amazing to see these videos

They are on both sides, but yeah safe to assume so.

Speaking of which I think 3 per side would have been sufficient... I mean with this and Freedom Hall I think we are being to accepting of people not being able to walk stairs. Most of the time it is just fat ass people. Fat ass people should not be given this much preference. I mean look at all the seats we could have had extra.

I have no issue with additional wheelchair access whatsoever. And while obesity is an issue, the types of fatasses you're probably referring to could control it, and probably aren't coming anyway. Overweight people due to hypothyroidism or some type of metabolic issue, I'm good with. Plus, we have a lot of older fans so that does give them more access.

From the article:

Tony Vella, part owner of Cootie Brown’s restaurant, wants to expand his chain to include a near-campus location, and he thinks Lot 8 is the perfect spot.

On the conceptual plan, Architect Ken Ross set aside a portion of the parking lot, with 109 spaces, to include a permanent area for tailgating when the ETSU Bucs play football in the stadium taking shape on the nearby campus.

The proposed new restaurant with tailgating area.
