RE: New Football Stadium Update
In the newest episode of "Inside the Dome" on YouTube, Dr. Sander indicated he would like to break ground on the stadium in October.

Interesting hearing Doc Sander. This guy is sharp. Just a matter-of-fact discussion on the stadium and the vision to get it done. He was rather emphatic about NO track in the stadium. He mentioned moving seats from the Dome into Brooks in the future, and the new lights in Brooks.

RE: New Football Stadium Update
Good I wonder if they could break ground the week of homecoming if possible. They could get a big amount of donations that way. If not October is a fine date.

That's not surprising at all. Repurposing the retractables that are attached or finding a way to use the end seats is a great thing.

Oh yea, he said they are going to try to add five to eight hundred more seats for the Kennesaw football opener.

They need to do that for the Emory & Henry game too.

RE: New Football Stadium Update
Anyone been on or by campus lately to see if they have roped off the area for construction yet? I think on October 1st they were supposed to be closing parking lot 19 and the Basler challenge course.

RE: New Football Stadium Update
My guess is that you won't see any construction on the stadium until dirt is moved on the PAC.

According to the state of the university address:

Football stadium(project design completed, finalize fundraising, groundbreaking and construction at midpoint)

https://www.etsu.edu/president/interim-c...202015.pdf

Does this mean midpoint of the semester?

RE: New Football Stadium Update
If we don't break ground on the stadium before the PAC, it simply won't be ready by the 2017 season. At the state of the university address, Dr. Noland didn't seem like the PAC was close to breaking ground and he even mentioned some of the elements surrounding the PAC have not gone as well as he had hoped, but over the past several weeks everyone has "hit a reset button" and that he hopes to get those worked out soon so that design can begin. Also, the city is just starting the formal discussions on whether to give ETSU $8 million. Obviously, without knowing whether that can go through, we can't start the design. If we haven't started design, it will probably be a year or more before that breaks ground

Things do tend to move at a noticeably slower pace in NE Tennessee than some other parts.

I would bet the stadium is done before the PAC.
