So the Basler Challenge Course has been taken down, and the dorm residents who use Parking lot 19 have been informed of a date that the lot will be closed. I will drive by there tomorrow to see if they have anything posted or ask someone living in one the dorms.

Not in a million years. Apples and oranges (no pun intended).

And a number of NFL teams with new indoor stadiums being opened on a rather regular basis. NOTE: Just think --- if ETSU had of followed that original stadium plan (outdoor expansion of the old Memorial Stadium) and tiered its athletic spending over those years where we could be now. Others did it, ETSU's leaders blew it. Just dreaming.

Tailgating along dorm row is going to be a hell of an atmosphere come game day. I've got my eye on the grassy median in front of Dossett. Wonder if it's to early to stake my claim now?

Anyone have any advice on how to power a sound system? Batteries? Generators?

I may be prejudiced but I think we may have one of the better game day experiences anywhere. The position on campus, the view from the press box, the proximity of parking (and tail gating) will be as attractive as anyone's. Let us break ground as soon as possible!

No Joke! It's a perfect setup!

The atmosphere is going to be what we make it. I plan on doing it big and hope that others follow suit.

Would like to see students clear that street on game day so folks can set up.

I did some research in anticipation of tailgating this year. A system powered by rechargeable batteries (like those used for cordless drills, etc.) is the way to go.

This link will take you to a comprehensive and informative review of the different options:

Awesome news. The best thing to happen since learning we had football again. In should be a major shot in the arm for the coaches during recruiting!

RE: New Football Stadium Update
I'd like to see it all get built at once, but I know that's not feasible either. I'll be happy with sideline seats, a field, a working videoboard on the field house end. They can lay sod in the endzone where the seats are supposed to be, and for the time in between getting seats installed there maybe they can sell it as a family pavilion area where people can bring a blanket and sit really cheap.

Or, start building and shift Fulmer into high gear and go aggressive in raising the remainder during construction so it can continue until the completion of the 10 to 11,000 seats. Or, they can't increase the bonds for more over a longer period of time?

RE: New Football Stadium Update
Any word on who will be there --- like Fulmer, Chesney, Smith, etc. with an accompanying announcement of some significant money?

RE: New Football Stadium Update
What do you call significant money? They have raised 20 million.

If you want to know who failed to get money, its Ron Ramsey, Lt. Governor and most powerful man in Nashville. He guaranteed 18 million from the state and has delivered nothing to date. If he had kept his promise ETSU would be building a 15K stadium with all the trimmings by 2017.
