Good Evening Sir or Madam,

The All England Hard Court Tennis Club, located at Rice University, would like to cordially invite you to our 3rd Annual Whites & Woods Tennis Mixer. We will be hosting a three hour long event of some of the top tennis players in the world (yourself of course) to come out and play in the classic style of wooden racquets, long socks, and of course head bands! Remember, the All England Club has a strict rule on wearing all white clothing (or mostly all white).
- Where: George R. Brown Tennis Center Located at Rice University (Please see map for more information)
- When: Saturday, July 11th from 9:00 to 11:30 am
- Cost: $15 per person or $25 per couple
- Drinks & Lunch will be provided. Lunch will be served at 11:30. If you would like, please bring a snack/breakfast item to share.

What to bring:
- White clothes (or whatever you have hanging in your closet)
- Sports drink (water, soda, and beer will be provided)

- A Snack or breakfast item to share (Deserts are also welcomed!)
- That special someone (or an old friend)

Today's the day! Should be a jolly good time.

Any report on the event? I didn't hear about it in time; how was it advertised? I received no notification. I would have played and invited several other players who would have come.................

I believe the primary communication was by email to Rice Tennis Club members. If you live in Houston and play tennis, or if you just want to support the Rice tennis program, and you're not a member of the Rice Tennis Club, you should join!
It has the best hard courts in this part of Texas, and the locker rooms are quite nice as well. Plus, at about $75 per month, it's a steal compared to just about any other club. Here's a link to membership info:
