Doubt budget will be the difference of candidates
I'm hoping the difference is distance from Texas.

I'm going to suggest we create ONE thread for all these " news" so we don't have 100 of them.
Thank you.
This is probably the most reasonable post in all of the realignment threads. Cubanbull has always been a high quality guy.
I kinda think your a high quality guy old tiger. Happy 4th!
I apologize for not responding to this before.
Thanks NestaKnight, greatly appreciated and that same respect is reciprocated!

Say the B12 does break up....
The AAC, because of its territory could have a play in either left overs gravitating to us or us to them. Kind of like the BE(AAC at a point in time) vs CUSA attractions for certain schools.
So, with our current 12 on the books, and assuming no one leaves.... who would be best suited to come to our 12? If their core got knocked down <=6 due to PAC12 and B10 actions.... would "we" move to them for that conference to reform?

Lot of things would have to happen just right for the Big12 to implode without us losing at least one of UCF/Memphis/Houston/Cincy. IF somehow that did happen, I think the AAC has to make sure to do everything possible to get ahold of WVU and KSU/TT/TCU. Going to 14 would be manageable and wouldn't spread things out too much.

RE: Interesting Twitter Exchange Concerning B12 expansion
Even if the Big 12 went to 6 they reload, They are part of the autonomy group and Access bowl group. That won't change until contracts are up. The AAC has 0 leverage on the B12, in trying to take teams away. No TV deal, bad bowls, no Access bid. While the B12 will offer all of those things plus the name B12. On top of that, the B12 won't lose 6 at a time to begin with.
My guess is at the end of the day, 6 to 8 AAC/MWC/BYU will end up in the B12. It will happen piecemeal over the course of 5 to 10 years. They will be to the P5 what the BE was to the bcs 6. The B12 will most likely make 1/2 to 2/3 of what the other P5 conf. get, But will be in the club, and will be good enough to challenge the other 5.

This
You guys who think B12 left overs join the AAC are delusional. The left overs wouls take who they wanted out of the AAC amd MWC. The B12 name, which they would retain is a heck of a lot more valuable than the AAC.

I don't see it happening any time soon, but if it does I don't see them losing more than 4
The Oklahoma schools and Texas and Texas Tech
That would leave 6 KU,KSU,ISU,WV,Baylor and TCU
They would probably add 6 in the first round from MWC/ AAC and BYU

I think KU and WVA would get snatched up sooner or later.
then TCU/Baylor after that

RE: Interesting Twitter Exchange Concerning B12 expansion
The interesting thing to me is all the AAC schools that are being mentioned: Memphis, Cincy, UCF, UH, even ECU and Tulane, yet staying together is horrible? I hope we are able to build something here. We have good schools on the rise. It's a pipe dream, but I actually like this conference.
That said, please B12, choose Memphis!

Memphis is doing better...but the commitment is recent. If you doubt me on that Go to you tube and pull up Tommy West last press conference.
Memphis would be a good addition to the Big 12.
I honestly believe that Tommy West press conference was the best thing for us. Times have certainly changed.
