RE: Rank the Stadiums for 2015
When initially reading the banter between the WKU and Marshall fans, I thought it was a bit juvenile. I came to realize that it's what makes sports and CFB so much fun. We've had a "semi-nasty" rivalry with MUTS over the years and I see the WKU/Marshall contests moving that way...ALL IN GOOD FUN, OFCOURSE!! As long as it doesn't get too personal, I love it!! ?

Same here.

The banter and such makes me want to go to the game that much more.

In the end I'm glad WKU is in CUSA.

But let's not get to nice here.....WKU's stadium does not compare to ours 05-stirthepot

You keep saying WVU is the only team where we needed the additional seating. Such an ignorant (uneducated) statement.

Every game that we have had over 30k fans is games where the expansion was necessary.

Off the top of my head we have had over 30k for the following teams...

WVU
Va Tech
Kansas State
Ohio
Cincinnati

Believe we have even cracked it for a few 1-AA teams on season openers.

Lets rank the C-USA Stadiums heading into the 2015 football season, and add comments about what you like or don't.

Here is how I would rank them:

1. (Rice) Rice Stadium- Historic stadium. Even hosted the Super Bowl.

2. (UTEP) The Sun Bowl- Home to one of the oldest bowl games. Great views.

3. (Marshall) Edwards Stadium- 38,000 seat on campus stadium that draws well.

4. (Southern Miss) "The Rock"- 36,000 seat on campus stadium that draws well.

5. (North Texas) Apogee Stadium- New and Nice, with great tailgating space.

6. (UTSA) Alamo Dome- Pro caliber stadium in a town without a pro team.

7. (ODU) Foreman Field- Small but nicely designed.

8. (LA Tech) Joe Aillet Stadium- Aging well. Doesn't look like a 47 year old stadium.

9. (FAU) FAU Stadium- Nice well designed stadium... with palm trees.

10. (Middle Tennessee) Floyd Stadium- Rebuilt within the past 20 years.

11. (WKU) LT Smith Stadium- Expanded to 25,000 seats in 2008.

12. (FIU) FIU Stadium- Not bad, but in my opinion, not as nice as FAU's.

13. (UAB) Legion Field- (Even though they won't be fielding a team this season, I thought I'd include them) It's a rough looking joint, but at least UAB still has life.

How do you rank them?

We got an update on our new stadium that will be coming into exist within the next few years. We might be able to compete for having the best stadium in CUSA.

I don't miss UTSA games in the Joe. They are as nasty a rivalry as you are gonna get.

Some UTSA fans were loud and annoying when they came to Apogee two years ago. Since they beat us, I can't say much. To the victor go the spoils. We better beat them this season, or I am going to be a very vocal and angry North Texas fan.

Reminds me of when we used to play Fresno State. Absolutely no love between us and the left coast bulldogs. I know our teams fought before a football game and the women's basketball team brawled with them too.

Aaahhh....those were the days. 03-thumbsup I really miss LA Tech's rivalry with Fresno St. FSU was the kind of rival you LOVE to hate...... It really got nasty between the battle of the Bulldogs!!
