Toledo - NO WAY! Last year was their year and they let it slip away. I believe WMU or Ball St could sneak in there if we don;t get there.

I just don't see it for Ball State and WMU, schedules much too unfavorable in conference play

I wonder if any predictions are ever wrong. I do wish they'd stop doing them....it spoils the year for the non-clairvoyant, such as myself.

Everyone is just skimming over the fact Toledo has four career Oline starts coming back. This is a huge disadvantage for them. There is no running game if the line ain't doing its job. I think Ball State is more of the surprise team this year.

I don't think anyone is skimming over it, it is just the oline they have coming in are generally very highly thought of. If they stay healthy, they should be the clear favorite, but staying healthy is obviously easier said than done.

Toledo fans were all over this board 6 + years ago. They have slinked back into their slime holes the past half decade.
They used to really rub it in when they had the short fat fireplug leading them....they have quieted down since they got that young guy with the snaggle teeth.

It was, but they were riddled with key injuries, though. They're going to be strong this year. IMO, it will come down to healthiness, etc.

MD waving the Toledo flag again. It's hard to tell what team he really roots for.

It's a sure sign the season is right around the corner, MD picking Toledo to win the MAC West.

SaturdayBlitz picking Toledo to topple NIU this year
Toledo is always picked to have the best recruiting class, beat us, and win the MACC. I would not want it any other way. The results speak for themselves.

Always?
Phil Steele picked NIU and Toledo to tie for the MAC West in 2014.
He picked NIU to win the tie-breaker. This year Steele's picks UT. The Rockets finished #2 or #3 in the 2015 MAC FB Recruiting Ranking by most services.

The conference poll picked Toledo in 2014. We will let you win that one every year as long as we win the game (i.e. 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010)

Which was a Good Choice, too. NIU was in a post-Lynch-figuring-themselves-out phase, Toledo was Stacked coming in, WMU was 1-11 the previous year, and BSU didn't have a QB.
It was Toledo's year, but unfortunately for them, injuries killed their opportunity.
Ugh, I'm still pissed about that Toledo game @WMU last year. And the NIU game @WMU. Sheesh. Both make me want to order an escort, just to feel better. (Head in pillow)

When MD picks Toledo, we have 8 more weeks until football.
