Big Ten off to strong start in recruiting after huge June
http://www.foxsports.com/college-footbal...une-070315

As of July 2, four Big Ten teams were in the national top 10 of Scout.com's rankings -- No. 2 Michigan State, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 8 Penn State and No. 10 Michigan. That is three more than finished in the top 10 in February when the class of 2015 signed.

The last time the Big Ten had more than two classes finish in Scout's top 10 was 2005, when Michigan had the No. 2 class in the country while Ohio State was seventh and Iowa was No. 8.

Also making strong showings so far are Northwestern (tied for 22nd) and Iowa (25th).

Great news, should make a post about this on the main forum too. That should start off a wildfire conversation.

What the conference is doing this year is hitting the states that adjoin the B10 footprint hard

Nebraska has commits from 2 of the top 5 in Colorado

Michigan & PSU have commits from 2 of the top 5 in MASS

Rutgers & Wisky have commits from 2 of the top 5 in CONN

OSU, IOwa, Maryland & MSU each have a commit from DC's Top 10

20 total commits from FLA 04-jawdrop

5 of NY state's top 10 players

NU has Mizzou's #3 and Purdue the #8 respectively.

Among the 25 uncommited who have a Big 10 program among their High Interest choices include

4 of California's top 50
4 of Florida's top 50
UT's #2

That is getting after it

I had been warning folks on the main board that The Big Ten was a sleeping giant. When they finally decide to put their resources fully in the pot against other conferences, watch out. Well, I think we are definitely watching that happen right now. The rest of the schools got the memo when Michigan landed Jim Harbaugh. With Meyer and Harbaugh at our two most prestigious programs, everyone else has to now work to keep up. Coaches gotta work even harder as they know the bar has been raised.
