I'm sure you uttered that EXACT quote on 9/10/2001.

don't tell anyone, but Bin Laden is dead, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is in jail (along with others involved)...moreover, if we weren't over there, I bet 9/11 would have never happened.

And ISIS is rampaging. Hooray!

sounds like something for middle east to worry about...Israel and Iran can get right on that.

As they continue to slaughter innocent people.

Nailed it.

Nailed what? A deflection from the thread?

Lots of people (not me, but lots) would say that two people of the same sex marrying isn't a positive.

I'm interested as to why not?

If you're talking about giving two people the right to make decisions for you and all of the governmental 'rights and responsibilities' of being 'married', then I'd agree. It seems to me that like everyone else, he (or she) must declare one individual (at a time, at least) as their 'spouse' for those rights.

But unlike being in a gay relationship (at least for decades now) Polygamy is actually generally illegal.

Why?

I can't think of any greater civil rights violation than to make it illegal to 'love' someone. I realize this is what gays argued was happening before, but it isn't really true. They weren't treated equally for certain and that needed to be changed, but they weren't treated as criminals.

Its not illegal to have a three way. Its illegal to be married to more than one person.

The problem of recognizing polygamous marriages is how to figure out how to apportion all of the benefits and responsibilities of marriages when there are more than 2 parties. I'd argue it would be nearly impossible to do so.

I take it that math wasn't a strong suit.

So, you're cool with someone massacring people in Virginia because that's an awfully long way from West Tennessee.

Note that wasn't a question.

Last I looked, VA was still part of the U.S. ("America should worry about America" and I could even be OK with that meaning N. America, but we're not the worlds police)..therefore, our responsibility.

Don't you think if we just get out of the way, Israel, Iran, SA, and a few other powers over there will work it out themselves? I would also expect Israel to come out on top...then, we will be in a much better position to negotiate with the Middle East.

And 2 is not necessary and really doesn't belong in the definition of marriage.

Hire a lawyer and good luck...not my problem.

Question, if polygamy is made legal, how does it negatively impact your marriage?

One more time. I don't care about polygamy marriage. Never have. It actually is a marriage. Has been throughout all of history. Currently illegal in the USA but it still IS marriage. Doesn't impact on me at all. Have no problem with it.

Maybe you couldn't understand my simple and clear response.
